more resources to teach children about the sun

While researching this post, I found a couple more resources for teaching kids about the sun. Also, I have some posts here on my site that you might find useful as well.

I first came across NASA’s fantastic space place website, which offers a wide variety of sun resources for elementary students, including games, crafts, videos, and more.

Below, I have a couple of resources on solar eclipses. When we had the great solar eclipse in North America a few years ago, I created this easy solar eclipse craft and put together a list of books on solar eclipses. I think it would also be interesting to use them in years without eclipses.

Finally, here’s a sun song and video that are just plain fun, as well as educational…

Be careful, the song will stick in your head!

If you have other favorite books about the sun, I’d love to hear them, either in the comments or via social media.
