There is a lot of humor throughout the series and Christina writes in a way that makes you want to read the follow ups. keep in mind that once you start these books, you won’t be able to put them down!

The first in the black-wings series is black wings 1, which sets the stage for the rest of the books in the series. Black Wings 1 follows Madeline (Maddy) Black, who has a rather unusual full-time job as an agent of death; a role that involves carrying souls to the afterlife. With her magical powers and her secret black wings, one would think that Madeline would live a life that many could only dream of, but this is far from the case. The fantasy character may have a unique and interesting job, but this does not help her make ends meet, so she looks for a tenant to rent a flat in her apartment.
Things may not be as they first seem when your handsome new neighbor moves in and there are some interesting and captivating events that follow. Maddy not only discovers some hidden truths about her neighbor, but also some interesting aspects of her own character and abilities that she never knew existed. You can expect many twists and turns throughout this book, as you join Maddy in her everyday life, which usually ends in fascinating consequences.

You can expect a strong female lead, supernatural powers, magic and might, as well as some romance as you embark on a whirlwind through Maddie’s life as she tackles the streets of Chicago. There’s something for everyone in this first novel, so whether you like the fantasy aspect or like books that offer humor, you’ll enjoy reading Black Wings 1.

of course, given maddie’s job description, you wouldn’t expect her to be a face many want to be greeted with! In Black Night, the sequel to Black Wings 1, Maddie finds herself trying to strike a balance between her unusual career choice and her real life, while fighting her arch-enemies at the same time.
There is a lot of action in the black night and many possibilities of romance for the heroine, with a story that will take you in a direction that you did not expect.
The series is action-packed and the remaining novels will give you more insight into the character’s life as he tries to keep his job, while holding on to the more traditional aspects of his life. Packed with impact and a story that will keep you hooked, you’ll be itching to beat them as soon as you start.

christina has also published her alice series, which consists of alice and the red queen. A fantasy/psychological thriller, the story begins with the character of Alicia, who finds herself as a patient in a psychiatric hospital, not knowing how she ended up there. With the help of her murdered friend, Alice goes in search of the truth, which turns out to be much more complicated than she ever imagined.
Alice is by no means a lighthearted read, it’s very dark with a lot of violence. It is not a copy of Lewis Carroll’s hugely popular work, although some definitive comparisons can be made. You’ll find a wide range of mental characters in this novel, with a very real message being conveyed throughout the book. You’ll start to learn more about Alice, his past, and why it ended the way he did.
Alice’s follow-up is the Red Queen, taking Alice out of the confines of the mental hospital and the old city into new pastures, but this may not be as wonderful as she may have initially predicted. Alice finds herself facing the red queen and it’s anyone’s guess if they will clash or join forces to create a spectacular couple!
There may be more to come in the Alice series, but you’ll have to read it to find out if it paves the way for a follow-up.

christina offers a variety of different emotions throughout her books, the humor and fantasy of the black-wings series, with the more surreal dark contrast of the alice series. maybe it’s this magical mix that she’s always kept her going. Christina has a large following and many fans who are eager to hear more from the author, so there are sure to be more delights in store in the future. Christina has engaged with a wide audience ranging from teenagers to seniors. These are definitely something for everyone, both in the Alice series and in the Black Wings series.
