Divinity Original Sin 2: Skill Crafting Combinations and Book Vendors | Divinity: Original Sin 2

Although there are 14 different starting classes in Divinity: Original Sin 2, your build is determined more by the skills you learn than the class or origin you chose during character creation.

In addition to racial, weapon, and origin skills, the 10 main skill types are divided into the categories of Airwright, Geomancer, Hunter, Hydrosophist, Necromancer, Changeling, Pyrokinetic, Scoundrel, Summon, and War.

Note that you can kill skill book vendors (or have them killed in certain quest lines) and have no luck on the skill front until you head to a different area with a new seller. The Red Prince, for example, has dialogue options that lead to a deadly fight with the war skill book vendor Kalias.

Although many skills are acquired by buying books from different vendors (or found during the course of the game), you can actually create your own skill books directly. creating these abilities may make them available sooner than normal, or in some cases, it’s the only reliable way to obtain the ability in question.

You just need the appropriate scroll and a book corresponding to the appropriate skill type. obviously, in many cases, it’s better to have a permanent ability (assuming you have the memory available to learn it) rather than a one-time scroll.
