there are many ways to have a free bible in your hands. The easiest way is to fill out an online request form to have a physical copy mailed to you, but there are also places near you that may have a free bible available.

bibles for america sends a free bible with free shipping to anyone who requests it. however, due to cost restrictions, they only send the new will.

2. myfreebible.org
myfreebible.org sends free copies of the bible with free shipping to those who request them.
this will be a pocket bible that is just the new testament. they send the new international version (niv), which is the modern translation of the most widely read bible.
there is a limit of one bible and one application per person, and they only ship in the united states. Please allow up to 6-8 weeks for postal delivery.

freebibles.net is a non-profit organization that has sent over 30,000 Bibles for free to homeless, sick, and incarcerated people. all your financial donations go toward the purchase of bibles and postage.
They only send free Bibles to inmates, those confined to their homes or in a nursing home, or those living at least part-time in a homeless shelter. each of those categories has a separate application form.
there is a limit of one bible per person/address, and they are only mailed to addresses in the united states. no specific version of the bible is guaranteed, and you must allow six weeks for delivery.

The Spread the Word campaign was launched by Family Broadcasting Corporation in 2000 and delivers a bible to anyone who requests one. since the campaign began, they have distributed more than a million bibles.
however, they do not honor requests for free bibles from people within the united states due to available funds and access to bibles. Instead, they are focusing their efforts on those who live outside of the United States.
They have delivered Bibles to people all over the world, including residents of Austria, Colombia, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Pakistan, Solomon Islands, Togo, and Zambia.
7. bible senders
bible senders is on a mission to send a free bible to anyone who requests one, anywhere in the world. they’ve been doing it since 2007!
To request your free bible, go to their contact page and send them a message with your name and address.
They can’t guarantee that all requests will be fulfilled (because they get a lot, over a million a year), but it’s worth a try.
bible senders relies heavily on donations from others. therefore, the bible you receive may be used, but they will not send you a bible that is in poor condition.
You also don’t know which translation you’ll get, although they say they don’t usually give away the King James version.
8. living on a penny
living on a dime will send you a free bible with free shipping, no strings attached. this will be a new translated living bible (very easy to read).
They ask that you only request a free bible if you cannot afford it, as they are not a large non-profit organization like some of the others mentioned here.
They depend on monetary donations to send the free Bibles and cannot fulfill all requests.
To claim your free bible, add the bible to your online shopping cart and use the coupon code on their site to get it free. request only one free bible per household.
Due to supply issues and very high demand, they are unable to ship Bibles outside of the United States at this time.
9. your local christian church
I have attended several different churches throughout my life and I can say that without a doubt, all churches would be willing to give away a bible to anyone who asked for one. then just ask!
To find a church near you, you can do a simple internet search for “churches near me” or use a website like church finder to search for churches across the country.
Church Finder also lists which denomination a particular church belongs to, if any.
You can attend an upcoming service and ask if there’s a Bible you can take home with you, or just call and ask.
10. your local library
yes, most if not all libraries will have bibles available! you may be able to check them out and take them home, or they may be available in the reference section for library use only.
An advantage of visiting the library to read the Bible is that you can also consult Bible commentaries and study guides if you want to increase your understanding of what you read.
Another option is to visit small free libraries in your area. these are book-sharing boxes displayed near people’s homes where people can give and receive books as they please.
the free little library website has a map of all registered locations so you can find the ones near you to navigate. now, there’s no guarantee you’ll find a free bible in one of these boxes, but it doesn’t hurt to look!
11. your hotel room
i’m sure you already know this, but gideons international distributes free copies of the bible to hotels around the world. these bibles are usually found inside the nightstand of your hotel room.
They don’t really advertise that much, but they don’t mind if you take them! they say, “if having that copy of god’s word helps someone continue their journey with christ, then the gideons rejoice.”

and you don’t even need a kindle to read them; You can only use the Kindle app to access the Bible on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
