jorge p. pelecanos is one of the most renowned novelists in america, who likes to write literature & fiction, suspense, detective and mystery books. Most of his novels are set in Washington, DC, which is also his hometown. Some of the best known characters created by the author Pelecanos include D.C. quartet, derek strange and nich stefanos. In addition to being a writer, the Pelecan author also works as a television producer, television writer and film producer. He began his writing career in the year 1992 with the release of the first book of his titled A Shooting Crime. This book also debuted his Nick Stefanos series. Since then, the Pelecanos author has written multiple series of novels and books in his writing career. Author Pelecanos was born on February 18, 1957 in Washington D.C. his birth had taken place into a Greek-American family. The initial Pelecanos novels were written in the first person and narrated through the voice of Nick Stefanos. He described Nick as a Greek resident of D.C., who works as a part-time private investigator. After the success of his first 4 books, the Pelecan author decided to change his narration style. and when he began to write the a.d. quartet books, he tried to expand his field of fiction. After becoming comfortable with the new writing style, Pelecanos stated that he never felt that he possessed the ability to become so ambitious during the early stages of his career. with the third person writing style, the pelecanos continued to show stenfanos as a more minor character. the newer characters became the main focus of the pelecans. The quartet spans a few communities and decades, representing the changing population in D.C.

In 2001, the author Pelecanos introduced a new team of private detectives, made up of Terry Quinn and Derek Strange. These characters became the main protagonists of many of the author’s recent works. one of them, very expensive, has even won the gumshoe award. The success of the books starring these characters helped cement the reputation of the Pelecanos author as one of the best detective novel authors of recent times. however, the cult and critical affection were brought only by the d.c. quartet books the other novels were written in the common formula of unconflicted criminals pursued by resourceful protagonists. As the pelecanos sensed this, he decided to change the approach once more. With the 2004 book, Hard Revolution, he also missed Derek in the early days of the D.C. police force. Pelecanos made a more interesting move by including a CD with the book. In doing so, he emulated author Michael Connelly, who used this idea first. In 2006, author Pelecanos wrote The Night Gardener, which represented a major shift in writing style and also featured his own cameo appearance. Author Pelecanos has also written and published various fictional short stories in a number of magazines and anthologies. He also reviews other books and novels and publishes his reviews in the New York Times, the Washington Post, etc. In 2011, the Pelecanos introduced another character named Spero Lucas, who is depicted as the young veteran of the Iraq war. Spero is shown working as a part-time investigator for a defense attorney in D.C. he also takes jobs to find stolen things where he gets a 40% cut. Regarding the personal life of the author Pelecanos, he is happily married and resides in the suburb of Silver Spring D.C in Maryland. he is blessed with three beautiful children.

one of the well-known series of novels written by george p. pelecans is known as d.c. quartet. It consists of 4 novels in total, which were published between the years of 1996 and 2000. The first book in this series was published under the title ‘The Big Bang’. It was released by the publication Tail of the Serpent in 2011, after its initial release in 1996. The author Pelecanos has set the plot in 1946 in Washington DC. At the beginning of the story, a couple of young men named Joey Recevo and Pete Karras are shown leaving the war and trying to find work. The easiest way to do this is to start working for a local crime lord as a muscle man. Both of them are asked to work for the protection racket their boss runs with members of the mob. However, the problem that Pete Karras has is that he has a soft attitude towards fellow immigrants. and the boss doesn’t want his mafia to be soft since it’s not beneficial for his work. he therefore asks his other boys to teach karras a lesson, which he must not forget in all his life. Eventually, Joey and Pete Karras meet after a three-year gap and indulge in one last confrontation. as a result, the meaning of honor and friendship is put to the test. Now, both Joey Recevo and Pete have to decide if they want to continue their friendship or become enemies on the orders of the crime boss.

The second installment of the series is called ‘king suckerman’. It was released by Dell Publishing in 2001, following its first publication in 1997. The book begins by describing the week leading up to the D.C. bicentennial celebration. During those moments of celebration, King Suckerman is the new blaxploitation movie that has everyone talking about it. Dimitri Karras and Marcus Clay are out looking for weed when they run into a big problem gone wrong. they wait until things settle down and then collect the cash that is not theirs. Dimitri Karras is shown as a small-town merchant, while Marcus Clay is depicted as a record owner. soon after, they realize they are being chased by a gangster who wants them to go settle accounts with him. This causes Marcus and Dimitri to suddenly find themselves as players in a wilder game involving crosses and double crosses. the novel goes on to evoke the retrocool of 1970s-era music, movies, and clothing in a brilliant way. this novel also feels real, violent and daring, and turns out to be a supercharged thriller. It follows the tough tradition of David Goodis, Pulp Fiction, and Jim Thompson in an excellent way. All these elements make the book one of the most solid works by the Pelecan author to date. Many critics believe that this book will help the Pelican author gather a new set of audiences and admirers.
