kendra elliot is an american author best known for writing exciting and romantic suspense novels. She is the author of a series of books such as the Bone Secrets series, Callahan & mclane series, the mercy kilpatrick series and the widow’s island series.
elliot was born in the pacific northwest and had a love of reading from an early age. he enjoyed reading books by laura ingalls, nancy drew and trixie belden and always had a book close at hand. she never saw herself writing as it didn’t bring her much joy and she always did the bare minimum to write assignments at school.

he attended the university of oregon for college. she ended up getting her bachelor’s degree in journalism. however, she would decide not to pursue that career and went on to study dentistry. she got her dental hygiene license and went to work in that field. she practiced for sixteen years, but she never lost the desire to write.
Her inspiration to write came after reading one of Diana Gabaldon’s novels that inspired her. she felt so satisfied and happy with the ending of the book and she felt that it was just a great narrative. she began to wonder if she could write something like that, so she sat down and began to write. she had set out to write a novel, but the story kept taking her to other places with dead bodies and the like. she realized that romantic suspense was a better genre for her.
To learn more about the world of novel writing, Elliot joined his local chapter of Romance Writers of America. she was able to meet a large community of people who were willing to help her improve her craft and tackle the tricks of the publishing world. kendra would also join international thriller writers and rwa’s kiss of death chapter.

hid her first book to be published, in the summer of 2012. the book would sell well and she was on her way. Kendra would go on to win the Daphne du Maurier Award for Romantic Thriller in 2014, 2015, and 2016. She has also come close to two other major awards, having been a Romantic Times magazine finalist for Best Romantic Suspense and being a finalist for an International Award for suspense writers.
elliot aims to write two books a year. she still has her home in oregon where she lives with her family.
hidden was elliot’s first published novel and the first book in the bone secrets series. The story begins eleven years after the mixed murderer murdered nine students at Oregon State University. Lacey Campbell was able to survive the attack and is the only surviving victim of the killer. her testimony was key to sending the killer to prison.
now, bones and teeth have been discovered and belong to his former best friend. The bones are found in the dirt of an ex-cop named Jack Harper. Lacey and Jack start to get closer, but someone is out there killing the witnesses who testified against the killer. the evidence points to the murders being committed by the mixed killer, but he is long dead. Lacey and Jack hope to find out, if they can survive long enough to do so.
the callahan & the mclane series begins with missing. The story begins with the kidnapping of an eleven-year-old girl on her way to school. The FBI is quick on the case, sending Special Agent Ava McLane to the girl’s family. Local authorities are also on the case with a local detective, Mason Callahan, doing what he can. Mason has been in trouble lately, he lost an informant to murder and is in a relationship with the victim.
mason and agent mclane end up hiding together in the family home. the two of them are doing what they can on the case and trying to help this family stay together. somehow, in the midst of it all, they are also closer to each other.

The Last Sister is the first book in Kendra Elliot’s Columbia River trilogy. The story begins twenty years after the murder of Emily Mills’ father. the tragedy had a tremendous effect on the family as it drove her mother to suicide and caused her daughter tara to leave and never return.
Emily and her sister Madison have been trying to forget what happened that night, but when an eerily similar murder is committed, they find themselves caught up in it. The case brings FBI Special Agent Zander Wells to town to investigate. he is eager to solve the case and learn more about the murder of the girl’s father.
When more blood is spilled, he begins to suspect that this small town is hiding something and people will kill to keep it that way. is it something that emily and madison know? Or is it something they are also trying to hide?
Elliot is perhaps best known for the Mercy Kilpatrick series of books. the first book in the series is called a merciful death. The story introduces us to Mercy, an FBI special agent, who has been waiting her entire life for disaster to strike. she grew up living off the land and has been a prepper ever since. she lived like this in oregon for a long time until a shocking tragedy tore her family apart and forced her to leave her home.
Now there is a predator known as the caveman attacking the survivors in his hometown. He takes her to investigate and the crime scenes are eerily reminiscent of Mercy’s own past.
Mercy goes to great lengths to hide her prepper past, especially from the local police chief, Truman Daly. however, he can see it and the two begin to grow closer, but she is worried about letting him get close to her as she might find out the secret she has long hidden about herself.
