kenneth erwin hagin was born on August 20, 1917 in Texas. he was born with a terminal heart condition that left him paralyzed at age 15. he was born again in 1933, and on august 8, 1934, he was totally healed and delivered through the power of faith in god’s word after studying mark 11vs23. -24.

In 1937, he became a minister of the Assemblies of God Church, and pastored five Assemblies of God churches for 12 years. After an encounter with Jesus in 1949, he began an itinerant ministry as a teacher of the word of God. In 1974, he founded Rhema Bible Training College. it recently has training centers in 14 countries around the world. He earned his honorary doctorate in theology from Faith Theological Seminary, Florida in 1994.
