bully is the first novel in the fall away series by penélope douglas. Jared and Tate were best friends for many years before high school. They were so close to each other that they did everything together, until the summer before their freshman year in college when Jared had to say goodbye. when he came back, he was a different man, never the same man tate knew. Jared ignored Tate, avoided her, and occasionally bullied her in front of her and her colleagues. Tate couldn’t understand what had happened to her best friend, but what could she do now? face the bully and be bullied again and again?

bully is a great start to an exciting series. Tate is such a strong woman that she can put up with Jared and her bullying even though he has no idea why her former best friend chooses to be so mean to her. She is relieved of her arrival when she spends a year in France, away from Jarred and teasing her. However, there comes a point where she has to stand her ground, forcing Jared to up her game. Throughout the story, Tate not only matures as a character, but also as a woman, growing from a naive and helpless girl to a woman who can stand up for herself and her position. Jared’s bullying leaves Tate with very few friends, and this causes her to be socially inept at times. However, realizing herself, Ella Tate flourishes and manages to stand on her own.

There’s always a reason when it comes to bullying, and so is Jared’s. there are some reasons why he becomes a bully, and there are also reasons for his hatred. however, does this make it correct? No. Jared’s anger and his painful behavior have some explainable causes; he is a lonely young man who deals with his pain, but decides to whip him over the others. in this particular case, he unloads his burdens on the only person who loved him unconditionally.

Overall, Bully is a moving and compelling novel, and the author accurately depicts a theme that affects almost everyone, especially during adolescence. there are so many lessons to learn, like bullying, forgiving those who hurt the most, and learning how to get through some of life’s most tormenting moments.

both characters are fantastic. for example, there is fallon, a loner who seeks retribution for all the bad things that were done to her. she is a tough and soft-hearted young woman who gave her love as well as her body to a man who has managed to remain deeply rooted in both her heart and her soul. Imagine how heartbreaking it could be to find out that the person you loved and loved the most might cheat on you and break your heart into a million pieces. this is what she feels Fallon and the main reason why she seeks revenge. however, the question is, was everything she was meant to believe true or just fabrications?

The second novel in the series is a brilliant read that showcases fantastic storytelling, excellent writing talent, and characters that are just as intriguing as the people in real life. The main characters, Fallon and Madoc, are such beautiful characters that they are perfectly suited to the roles of hero and heroine. the secondary characters are also quite attractive.
