Your kindle books on your broken device can be accessed by syncing your new kindle with your amazon account. Any books present on your old kindle that were purchased outside of amazon will be lost. it can be transferred to your new device via usb if you have a backup of your books.

It also depends on which part of your old kindle is broken. if it’s just the screen, while the kindle is running, then you should be able to extract all the files to a computer and transfer them to the new kindle as per the steps highlighted in the article.

Also, even if your device is completely damaged and won’t even turn on, you can still contact a data recovery center. Data from almost any storage device can be recovered as long as the storage disk itself is not damaged or corrupted.

however, the cost may be more than the value of the books on your device. so keep that in mind!

how to transfer books from your phone to a new kindle?

If this is your first time owning a kindle, chances are most of your books reside on a computer or on your phone.

if you want to transfer kindle books present on your phone to a kindle, just make sure you sign in to the same kindle account you have on the phone and sync your kindle device. To transfer non-kindle books, connect your phone to a computer and transfer the books to kindle via usb.

The only thing you will need to know is the exact location of the books on your phone. if you just downloaded the books, you should find them in the “downloads” folder on your device.

Alternatively, if you’ve transferred the books to your device using a particular app, look for the app’s folder name.

You can also use the search function within the file explorer to locate books with a particular extension.

Once you’ve located the books on your mobile device, here’s what to do:

  1. connect your phone to a computer via usb (or bluetooth, but you prefer usb)
  2. transfer the books to your computer. use file explorer for android and itunes for iphone to locate and transfer books.
  3. connect your new kindle to your computer. open the “kindle drive” and then the “documents” folder.
  4. transfer all the books to your kindle’s “documents” folder.
  5. right-click on the “kindle drive” folder and safely “eject” the drive.

with that, you should be able to transfer all the books from your phone to your new kindle.

You can also transfer books present on your phone to your kindle directly using the “send to kindle” email address. follow the process described in the previous section of the article to do the same.
