Andrew Gross is an American writer and author born in 1952. He is known for his crime and thriller novels. he has had four books on the nyt bestseller list. He is well known to fans for his collaborations and joint books with the very popular writer James Patterson. his novels feature themes of close family ties as well as relationships that often involve themes of loss or betrayal. he imbues his works with hints of emotion and links connected to crimes, as well as focusing on cover-ups.

the author grew up in new york, attending barnard, a private school for boys. his father along with his grandfather on his maternal side were successful in making clothes and leslie fay companies is now the family business, the name of the company is dedicated to his mother. Gross graduated from the University of Vermont Middlebury with a degree in English in 1974. He later contacted a girl named Lynn on a blind date in 1979. She would become his wife. three years later, they married. Gross earned a master’s degree in business policy from Columbia University in 1982. He worked for two years as a dress buyer in Denver and opened a stew and soup restaurant called Ebeneezer’s. he eventually went back to work for the family business.

in 1984 he started working for head nv sportswear. Five years later, the company was the foremost leader in luxury ski and tennis apparel in the US. uu. and it is also doing very well in europe. Gross then left to go back to work for his family’s business, which was grossing nearly $1 billion in annual sales. he left the company in 1991 in part due to the problems of having so many family members around and the finer points and challenges of working in a family business. He eventually left that job to pursue his own opportunities at boutique tennis and golf brand Le Coq Sportif, as well as a Canadian skiwear company. The concert didn’t last long and kicked off Gross’s journey into a writing career.

gross began his writing career by attending the organized writers program at the university of iowa. the draft of his political thriller and his first book of his hydra took him three years in total to finish. he sent it to various publishers and agents and was rejected. He was giving up hope when he was connected to a call from none other than James Patterson. they got together and discussed the concepts of what became the popular female killer club series. Patterson had received Gross’s unpublished manuscript from the head of his publisher with a note saying that Gross wrote women well. In less than a week, Gross and Patterson had formed a partnership together. they have worked together writing books for the women’s murder club and have also tackled different subjects together, writing the bestsellers together, the jester, the lifeguard and lastly the judge and jury.

gross pursued a solo writing career in 2006 and his book the blue zone topped the new york times bestseller list in 2007. his next book, the dark tide, was named a thriller of the year for the int. Thriller Writers Association. It featured Detective Ty Hauck, a fictional character from Greenwich, Connecticut who becomes the main character in his subsequent best-selling books, Reckless and Don’t Look Twice. Gross stopped writing the character for a while, but returned to Ty Hauck in January 2014. A book featuring the detective will be out in 2015.

The second book in the series is written by Gross and Patterson and features Lindsay Boxer, a homicide lieutenant. she is still getting over the loss of her partner and is returning to the force when she is called in and assigned to investigate a series of murders. the victims include an eleven-year-old girl and an elderly woman. She begins to investigate and finds a connection to the prison and a hate gang called Chimera. After another officer is killed, shot to death, and Lindsay Boxer’s boss is also killed, the trail begins to continue. All roads lead to ex-cop Frank Coombs.

To make things more complex for the crime-solving ladies’ club members, Claire becomes a potential target for the killer, Jill is pregnant, Cindy has started dating the murdered girl’s pastor, and, More unexpectedly, Lindsay’s father shows up. up from nowhere Lindsay tracks down Frank and Rusty Coombs. Lindsay follows Rusty to a tower on a college campus. Will she find out who the killer is before it’s too late? the book contains many emotions and moments of suspense, with a theme of revenge and hatred that makes it a unique read.

Killer Women’s Club: Third Degree

The continuation of the second book in the series, Lindsay must race to save survivors from an explosion when a family’s home explodes. This time his enemy is called the August Spies, a group of assassins who promise to kill every three days. time and time again, they choose to target political figures. Lindsay must team up with the San Francisco Police Department, Claire the Coroner, Cindy the Chronicle Reporter and Jill the Assistant District Attorney to tackle the case and find the culprit. But not all of her team can make it out alive.

but the case continues to be solved, leading the remaining ladies to find a clue in the case and break a cover-up that happened years ago and could be related to the origin of the august spies. Lindsay continues to search for leads and becomes more involved with Deputy Director of Homeland Security and FBI liaison Joe Molinari. While working on the case, Lindsay takes time out for her personal life and goes on a date with Joe. The second date goes well and it’s at Lindsay’s apartment where they have dinner plans. they end up skipping dinner and going straight to their room.
