This guide shows all the elden rings spell locations. spells are spells you can cast using a wizard’s staff. it is necessary to have a wizard’s staff equipped, otherwise the spells cannot be used. you also need enough mana (called fp in the game). when you run out of mana you can use a mana flask. you can spread your flask charges between health and mana at any grace site (fast travel point). the best starting class to use spells is the astrologer. this class already comes with 2 spells and a two-handed staff.

- Academy of Raya Lucaria: Church of the Cuckoo: Proceed through the graveyard area to the end where the waterwheel is. defeat the enemy that appears outside the black portal to receive this.

- liurnia of the lakes: church of vows – bought from miriel, shepherdess of vows for 10,000 runes (turtle trader). can also be bought from wizard rogier in limgrave – rampart tower (after stormveil castle), it’s in a small church after rampart tower grace site. After restoring the Great Godrick Rune in Limgrave’s Divine Tower, it will appear in the Hall of the Round Table.

- liurnia de los lagos: city of the north gate – dropped by the boss “death rite bird”. spawns in the ruins directly south of this grace site, it only spawns at night. requires 34 intelligence and 24 faith to use and summon vengeful spirits that hunt down enemies.
- liurnia of the lakes: caria manor: on the ground level of the mansion in the east-central section, there is a beetle (small rolling ball treasure enemy), killing him unlocks this . the easiest way to find it is to go straight after entering the mansion area until you reach a fountain, then turn sharp left and go around the corner.
- liurnia de los lagos: carian mansion – upper level of the mansion – after going up the stairs with the giant on it, go left and go down the balconies, follow that walk along the “broken pot enemies” until you reach the bottom where you can fall into the castle walls where you will find this.

- caelid: sellia crystal tunnel: found in a chest in the tunnel, in a hut above (after jumping through the wooden roofs of the hut to get more above).
- liurnia of the lakes: academy crystal cave: dropped by the double boss inside the academy crystal cave, called “crystals”. you must insert 1 stone sword key into the imp statue outside the cave to enter the location.
- liurnia de los lagos: academy crystal cave: you must insert 1 stone sword key into the imp statue outside the cave to enter the location. inside the cave, defeat the double boss “crystalians” then go up the elevator after the boss fight. then climb a ladder to the top of the tower to find a chest containing this spell.
- caelid: street of the ruins of the sages: inside the street of the ruins of the sages, go down the stairs and open the chest to find this spell.
- miquella’s haligtree: haligtree promenade – dropped by boss “loretta, knight of haligtree”, see how to get to haligtree.
- mount. gelmir: volcano mansion: reward for doing the quest for the lady in the chair in the volcano mansion. talk to her to get a key, then enter the last door on the left of the hallway to grab the letter, talk to her again, read the letter from the inventory, then a red marker will be placed on the map in north limgrave, go there to kill an enemy, return to the volcano mansion and she will give you this as a reward.
- mount. gelmir: hermit’s hut – found inside the hermit’s hut.
- lucaria ray academy: school classroom: continue to the radagon red wolf boss room, then once you go up the second large flight of stairs before the boss room, there is a wall illusion on the left (bookcase without books). in the next room behind this wall you can find this.
- Stormveil Castle, Elevator Chamber: Exit the grace spot into the courtyard, then immediately turn right to the ledge where the body is. drop down and follow the path to the bottom of the area where you can find a teardrop beetle that drops this.
- liunria of the lakes: moonlight altar: head towards the cathedral of manus celes and the glowing stone dragon adula will appear right in front of the cathedral. defeating the dragon gives you this sorcery.
- weeping peninsula: witchbane ruins – obtained on a corpse in the basement of this set of ruins.
- giant mountains: catacombs on top of giant mountain: leave the catacombs and head north until you are in the open and head northwest and you will find this on a corpse near the group of 3 fire monks.
- liurnia de los lagos: artist’s hut: head north-northwest from this grace site and use the rocks to jump over the valley below to the cliffs on the other side . once on the other side, look to the left and you will see a bunch of fire slugs and a fire charmer. defeat the enchanter and loot his body for this spell.
- Lake Liurnia: Fringe Tower Converted: Head inside and while wearing a Sparkle Crown (Azure Sparkle Crown will not work) and use the Erudite Emote (gained from give a glinstone academy key to thops) in front of the sealed door. once open head inside and up. defeat the ball of heads and go up the stairs to the elevator in front of you. at the top of the elevator head out and around the top of the tower where you will find this spell in a chest.
- Lake Liurnia: Fringe Tower Converted: Head inside and while wearing a Sparkle Crown (Azure Sparkle Crown will not work) and use the Erudite Emote (gained from give a glinstone academy key to thops) in front of the sealed door. once open head inside and up. defeat the ball of heads and go up the stairs to the elevator in front of you. at the top of the elevator head out and around the top of the tower where you will find this spell in a chest.
- liurnia de los lagos: great library of ray lucaria: can be bought from the sorceress sellen for 8000 runes.
- raya lucaria academy: debate room: head outside and look to the left and you will see some crumbling stairs. head towards them and then towards the other straight set. follow it up and to the left and jump over the railing to another set of stairs. follow it up and around and jump over the railing with the item to the rooftops ahead. Follow the rooftops south to a ledge with a ladder up. Go up the ladder and follow the path in front of and around the tower to the right and drop down onto the rooftops ahead. Follow the rooftops north until you reach the top of the cathedral. once at the top, head to one of the windows into the rafters and look down to see a purple item on one of the chandeliers. Drop down to that chandelier and go down to the path below it with the enemies on it. on the east side of these corridors you will find this spell on a corpse.
- Giant Mountain: Zamor Ruins – Found in a chest below the Zamor Ruins on the east side of the ruins.
- Altus Plateau: Mirage Ruins – Found in a chest at the top of the ruins. you will have to touch 3 ghosts around the area to make the tower appear.

- altus plateau: wyndham ruins: after defeating tibia marina in the waters of the ruins, you will receive this spell.
- raya lucaria academy: school classroom: after giving thops an academy key in irith church, head to this grace site and exit the room outward. follow the wall to the right and around the corner to find thops corpse on the study table where you can acquire it from his body.
- Lucaria Ray Academy: Lucaria Ray Great Library: Can be purchased from Sorceress Sellen after giving her the Conspectus Scroll for 10000 Runes.

- siofra river: depths of the siofra river well: from the grace site head to the front building. Go up the path to the ladder that leads to the elevator. instead of going up those stairs, look to the right (south) and follow the path to the underground ruins. On this upper path, look at the wall to the right and you will see a break in the wall that you can jump onto. climb the ruins and cross the beams to the top of the ruins where you will find a beetle that, when killed, casts this spell.

- caelid: sellia, village of sorcery – obtained in the center of the village locked behind one of the three sellian seals that can be broken by lighting the flames on the towers.
- Hallowed Snowfield: Yellow Anix Tunnel – Obtained at the end of the tunnel after defeating the boss at the end, Astel, Stars of Darkness.
- liunria de los lagos: entrance to the study room: it is obtained inside the study room to the elevator by defeating the preceptress miriam npc whom you will chase throughout the room.
- liurnia de los lagos: entrance to the study room: just in front of the place of grace is a table with a large globe behind it. Approach the table and use the Carian Inverted Statue. this will flip the tower and you can proceed through the window where the elevator was and on the bridge further on will be preceptress miriam again. defeating her again will give you this spell.
- nokron, eternal city: imitate tear: head north to the end of the bridge and jump from the end over the right railing to the ground below. now jump to the path under the bridge you just jumped off of. follow it north to the end and jump into the ruins below. Head downstairs and out the door, follow the path to the right to the edge and look straight down. Drop down to the ledge below and head to the ground by jumping onto the column sticking up into the air. once on the ground, look for an opening at the bottom of the ruins and it will fill up with many crystalline enemies. Inside the opening there is also a beetle that you can defeat with this spell.

- Deep Depths: Through the Roots: Obtained after defeating the boss of the fia champions in the throne of the prince of death.
- caelid: war-dead catacombs: go down the stairs in front of the place of grace and when you reach the room with all the ghosts fighting each other to the right or left of the room. there will be a set of stairs that lead to a pool of scarlet rot with more enemies fighting below. this spell will be in a chest in the middle of the room in the pool of scarlet rot.
- mount. gelmir: azure sorcerer primitive: given to you by the azure sorcerer when you talk to him during the sorceress seal questline at the beginning.
- Weeping Peninsula: Demihuman Forest Ruins: Obtained by defeating the large demihuman enemy in the ruins, the mini-boss is out in the open in most of the ruins.
- caelid: sellia hideaway – given to you by master lusat during the sorceress sellen questline. he is after a sealian seal, you will need the sellen sealian sealbreaker key after showing him that you met the azure wizard by showing him the azure comet.
- caelid: sellia hideaway: Obtained once you defeat the boss at the end of the tunnels behind the mist gate, the putrid crystalline trio (staff, ringblade, and spear) .
- caelid: swamp watchtower: found at the bottom of the tower in a cell guarded by a more powerful enemy.
- Hallowed Snowfields: Forsaken Apostate: Obtained by defeating the rite of death bird that only appears at night southeast of the site of grace at the end of the frozen lake.
- Giant Mountain: Heretic Rise – Found in a chest at the top of the rise, it can be accessed by walking over an invisible bridge that starts just east of the viewpoint of the ruins of the snowy valley site of grace.
- liurnia de los lagos: south altar: it is found in a chest at the top of the elevation. To get to the climb, you’ll need to find the 3 giant tortoises around the moonlight altar.
