Before becoming a full-time author, Williams worked and lived in London and New York, where she worked as a communications strategy specialist. it was at these jobs that she hid her early literary works on company laptops. Williams eventually left this career to focus more on her writing. she now lives near the connecticut coast with her husband and her four children.
He likes to visit his in-laws in Old Lyme, which is located on the Long Island Sound and boasts several stunning beaches as well as a traditional New England town center. Her mother-in-law’s family has also spent many a summer on the glittering sea off the northern tip of the New Jersey shoreline, and it is now a favorite of Williams and his family. no matter which beach he finds himself along the coast, williams likes to play with all the kids in the family and splash around in the ocean, followed by cocktails on the boardwalk as the setting sun and waves roll in. /p>
williams novels take place in different time periods, from the 1910s to the 1960s. beatriz can’t remember why she had the idea to transform richard strauss’s opera “der rosenkavalier” into a novel, but i was fascinated with the marchallin character so it happened effortlessly. Williams chose to set the novel, titled “At a Certain Age,” in 1920s New York, and the story spans many themes: old and new, sensitive and brutal, new money versus old money.

Nick is an unwanted visitor from Lily’s past life; he is formerly her closest friend and, as a result, her ex-fiancé. Mischief ensues and we see Lily having to participate in multiple social gatherings with Nick, and old feelings for her begin to surface, creating a psychological cyclone that will alter her worlds permanently.
Williams’ other work is just as captivating, and she has won three awards for her work (under the pseudonym Juliana Gray). As a self-proclaimed fan of history, Williams has proven to be an expert in creating historical fiction.
