Although not a business book, I think God Made Men is a great case study on how to prevail in difficult times and see the power of God in every area of life. i read it last year before i bought my first flip house and it showed me, through the lives of biblical figures, god was working in and through them to carry out his plan.

I personally read it twice a year because it always brings me closer to God, makes me a better husband and father, and makes me a more joyful and peaceful businessman. the culture around us glorifies hustle and bustle. here’s the thing: they’re not required for business success (in fact, i’d say they get in the way) and they’re the antithesis of what it means to follow jesus. your business from a place of joy, peace and love: you are proactive instead of reactive and calm instead of anxious. If you want to stay spiritually alive while running a successful business, read this book and, more importantly, apply it daily! (it’s a great combination with what you learn in atomic habits!)

Aside from scripture, never has a book caught my attention and attitude towards my work more than this one.
