betsy brannon green is a prolific american author who likes to write mystery and suspense novels. She is particularly famous for writing the Haggerty mystery series. The author Green was born on June 1, 1958 in Salt Lake City. For most of her life, she has resided in the southern United States. As of today, she resides in Bessemer, Alabama, which is a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama. At the time of Green’s birth, her father was studying at the University of Utah at Salt Lake. After completing his undergraduate work, author Green’s father moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where he attended medical school. and immediately after graduating from medical school, he signed up for the army. As a result, for the next several years, Green and her family had to live in various cities, including Ft. knox, colorado springs, honolulu and san antonio. Finally, they decided to settle in Decatur, Alabama. it was here that author green met her future husband named robert green and married him in 1979. author green says she was always interested in writing growing up. the idea of becoming a writer after growing up was always in the back of her mind during her school and college days. however, it was not until the fall of 1999 that she decided to write a novel in earnest. green took a period of 8 months to finish the writing work of her first novel. Despite putting her all into it, the book was ultimately rejected by every publisher Green took it to. however, her second attempt did not meet the same fate. her novel, clandestine hearts, was accepted by convention communications for publication in 2001. after that, the green author went on to write and publish 19 more books in her career with the same publisher. she has even contributed a couple of Christmas books.

According to author Green, this town is loosely based on her grandparents’ hometown, Promontory in Alabama. green considers this city to be the most wonderful, beautiful and fun place on earth. Each of Green’s books has an abundance of suspense, romance, various recipes, and southern hospitality. In 2010, author Green was nominated for the prestigious Whitney Award for one of her mystery thrillers titled Assassin by the Book. In addition to working as a writer, Green also works as a Sunday school teacher in Bessemer. she even works for hueytwon elementary school. Author Green loves to read and watch sports, and she indulges in these activities whenever she has time. Her writings are primarily influenced by the generous and kind people around her and by Cape Town, Alabama.

The debut novel in the series is titled ‘Hearts in Hiding’. It was released by Covenant Communications in the year 2001. The plot of the book revolves around the life of the main character named Kate Singleton. At the beginning of the book’s story, Kate Singleton is shown to go through a mix of emotions in his life. she appears to be experiencing betrayal, anger, devastation, and self-pity, and much more. kate singleton has been married for a year and is pregnant with her first child. She finds out that her husband, who works as an FBI agent, has been killed on duty. To add to her misery, Kate learns that the people who killed her husband have made a contract to kill her too. Kate enlists the help of the FBI and flees her house and out of harm’s way. however, she cannot take anything from her house except the clothes she is wearing. the organization provides her with a new set of clothes, a new name, a new home and, to her surprise, a new life partner as her husband. It seems to be just the beginning of many more adventures to come in Kate’s life. Before the end of the plot, readers become acquainted with facts of true love, kidnapping and much more that keep them intrigued until the last page. overall the book is full of lots of action, romance, suspense and mystery.

Author Green has introduced the main character of this novel as Beth Middleton. At the beginning of the book’s story, Beth Middleton’s fiancé is described as dying in a car accident on the same day that she was about to have her wedding. Beth is so devastated by this loss that she decides to distance herself from society. she does not wish to have any activity in her life and she only wants to exist during the remaining days of her life. however, over time, beth middleton begins to find normalcy in her life. she takes a job as a court-appointed evaluator for a high-profile local attorney and her 5-year-old daughter. The job makes Beth Middleton feel like she’s embroiled in a very important lawsuit that could greatly affect her boss’s legal career. But, as soon as the trial begins, witnesses begin to disappear, the prosecutor is kidnapped, and a man in possession of a gun begins following Beth to kill her. Beth wonders why she’s being attacked, so she starts digging for answers. She realizes that she has landed against a deadly killer, who wants not only her boss to lose her mind, but also their lives.
