Over the years, my favorite genre has been Christian nonfiction, whether I’m reading books on spiritual growth, self-help, or devotionals. More recently, I’ve delved into the Christian fiction genre and have been very pleasantly surprised.

But no matter what your life stage or interest level, there are plenty of good Christian books for women on a variety of topics and life stages.

You can also use this resource to find good books for a Christian women’s book club. some friends and I are starting what we call a “no pressure book club” in January. each person will choose her own book and once a month she will share a bit of what she learned. if you haven’t finished the book after a month, that’s fine! the point is that we get together and find out what god shows each other. For those of you who want to get into the habit of reading, don’t let this list overwhelm you. How do you eat an elephant?!? one bite at a time. my challenge to you is to pick a book from this list and get started.

Pick a time to read every day and set a very small achievable goal for reading. Let’s say you set a goal to read 5 pages every night before you go to bed. Before you know it, you won’t have to work to maintain your goal every day because reading will be a part of your day that you look forward to. so now, go pick out that book!
