stone setting for contemporary jewelers by melissa hunt – 999 a112

many designers/makers still choose to outsource stone setting to jewelers simply because if it goes wrong it can be very expensive, time consuming and extremely stressful. stone setting for contemporary jewelers looks at things from a much more modern perspective; deal with the basics but also promote alternative techniques that are perhaps a bit easier to achieve. Melissa Hunt promotes methods that are much more integral to the overall design of the piece rather than just a shell in stone which helps make this book an exciting and compelling read. definitely one to try if you’re looking to switch things up.
