sound books are one of my favorite books and are perfect for both newborn babies and older children.
Depending on the age, you can use them differently and your child will be able to interact and play with them differently. but what is more important is that talking books grow with a child.

Babies can hear sounds long before they are born. so it’s never too early to introduce and repeat soft sounds from the world they’re about to be born into.

usborne sound books are hands down my favourites.
The sound quality is so realistic that it makes you feel that you are right there: on the farm, in the garden, in the forest, in the jungle, etc.
They have beautiful bright illustrations with sparkly elements and short stories that complement the scene on each page.
sounds are activated by touching the fingertip sensor and you can disable all sensors using an on/off switch on the back of the book.
what makes these books unique is that there are sturdy cutouts, openings and fingerprints on every page. what a great sensory experience for those little hands!

I remember my little boy being scared by the mooing of the cow when he was about 8 months old. so I waited a couple of weeks to resubmit it.

now it brings a smile to his face and he loves playing his farm sound book.
usborne has some amazing soundbooks like this, but I love getting some from other publishers for more variety.
For example, some of the books I recommend besides sound also have a tactile element to touch and feel. And who doesn’t like to caress the soft skin of a chick, a lamb or the mane of a horse?
