(open perpetual calendar-little red riding hood) print and display. Choose from the following activities.

  • Explore red.
  • Provide clothing items that children can wear to dress up as an old lady.
  • Place several wicker baskets on the floor and let the children fill and empty them.
  • create a wolf costume.
  • provide a red cape, a red scarf, a red coat and red boots.
  • bake oatmeal cookies and serve in a basket.
  • try different types of cookies.
  • set up a small playhouse and act out the story.
  • go out to walk through the woods.
  • talk about the children’s grandmothers.

  • Find lion costumes that children can wear.
