For those of us who love to read Christian fantasy, we have a problem. we can’t get enough. While we have our favorite series holding special places in our hearts, we yearn for another quest, another adventure, into the unknown.
You are reading: Christian fantasy books for tweens
You may have heard the question “what can I read now?” a lot recently. Perhaps you are looking for something to capture the imagination of your elementary or middle school children. (Okay, I admit it. I like to read elementary and middle school fantasy to take my mind off being an adult from time to time!)
If so, this list of Christian children’s fantasy books is for you. I hope it takes you on your next big adventure!
Check out this information first!
- I’ve included a few from my “to read” list. if I haven’t read a book, I put a star after the author’s name.
- Not all books by all authors are listed yet. if you like an author, check out the rest of their books.
- although the books are organized by age groups, feel free to level them up or down.
- not all the books are written by Christian authors. if there’s anything objectionable that I know of, I put it at the end of the section.
- There’s another list for teens and adults called the Ultimate List for Teens and Adults (and those who wish they were)!
- There are currently 107 books on this list! but it’s not finished. be sure to sign up for my newsletter for updates.
- you can print this list! scroll down to see the pdf.

The Percy Jackson series is an exciting and fun story, but I’m often hesitant to recommend it due to the fact that Percy and many of his friends are demi-gods, sons of Greek gods and humans. however, you could use it to talk about the only one who is both god and human, jesus.
