In the first installment of Super Powers: Year 1, to be considered a superhero, you must complete a hero certification course at the university, and only a few of those registered are able to make it to the final year. Among the freshmen selected this year at Lander University, one of the top colleges with a hero certification course, five students are different from the rest of the would-be heroes. they were once powers, that is, people with super abilities but unable to control them.
The powerful have always been considered a burden and as second-class citizens. however, these five students are the first prototypes of a highly classified test that has succeeded in transforming powers into supers. they’ve been in the certification program just as a cover-up to see if they can compete with the supers.
The first novel in the series is a good read starting from the concept of the plot, the execution and the frivolity and of course the suspense that will keep you wanting more. on the other hand, the action is vividly described, while some flavors of love stories are mixed.

superpowers: year 2
despite most of the deep secrets being revealed, the people of melbrook hall return to college for another 12 months on the hero certification course. The best thing is that this year the main focus is teamwork, just because their origins are known, and they will have to lean on each other more than ever.
Now they’re finally sophomores, and their curriculum is expanded, allowing them to train in the same specialties that the heroes specialize in. however, the new classes will test your minds, bodies, and resolve in ways you never anticipated. Plus, in a year filled with secret discoveries, battles with superpowers, and unexpected entanglements, the only person left standing is a mystery. When last year’s kidnapping attempts finally come to light, the results point to something much bigger than just a rogue educator, something unimaginable.
The second installment in the series reads much better than the first, the author sucks you into the world of super humans and makes the humans themselves have vulnerabilities and weaknesses that we would never realize before. the story is fantastic; the characters are interesting and understandable. the powers are just amazing, and the way these powers play out with the characters is both fascinating and engaging, especially when new uses are developed.
the completely boring and uninteresting stories of fred the vampire accountant
In this life we lead, there are people who are born boring; others live bored while others die bored. fred managed to pull off all three, and the day he woke up as a vampire, he too became a boring one. he is socially awkward, shy and mostly plagued with self esteem issues and has never been adventurous, ever.

Undeath and Taxes is the sequel to the first Fred the Vampire Accountant book. fredrick f. fletcher becomes a certified parahuman account after discovering how the world is full of magic and parahumans. fred expands his business to serve more monsters and their financial needs. However, said monsters still get Fred in trouble, and even though Fred is only dealing with paperwork, he is forced to deal with government agents, enchanted weapons, a house in possession, and the needs of a perplexing dragon. . Also, in the world of parahumans, any business can be deadly, even a boring one like accounting.
The second novel in Hayes, Fred, the counter vampire fantasy series is as funny and inventive as the first novel. Readers understand that Fred and his henchmen are somehow better, but the age and action are also fresh, fun, and unique.

In the third installment of the fred series, the vampire accountant, fred’s life becomes more pleasant than his normal life. his parahuman accounting practice is thriving; he has a stable relationship, as well as a circle of trusted friends.
Unfortunately, it’s apparently clear that he’s not the only vampire to appreciate the rise of Winslow City, Colorado. a new family of vampires moves into town and they’re not known for tolerating strangers, especially on their turf.

Between the crazed vampire hunters, the parahumans hiding in the city, the world’s most subtle spy, and the fighting wizards, it will take a deliberate effort from Fred to keep his head above water. As the new clan sinks its teeth deeper and deeper into the city, Fred is faced with two choices: take on an entire army of vampires or run away from home.
