Born in England on August 25, 1938 in the tiny town of Ashford, Frederick Forsyth is an author who hardly needs an introduction. according to frederick, the size of the town stimulated his curiosity to travel and see the world, a fact that inevitably influenced his writing. Recalling his childhood with fond memories, he still visits the areas where he grew up. When he was a child, his father sent him to live in Germany and France for a year to learn modern languages.
This was quite unusual for the son of a middle-class English merchant at the time, as his parents taught him from a young age that money is only earned by hard work. he was an only child and grew up in a semi-detached house with the entire top floor to himself. His father’s support and influence was the key to his ultimate success. It is Frederick’s firm belief that he supported him regardless of what he wanted to do. His ultimate fluency in those two languages earned Frederick a scholarship at the prestigious Tonbridge School. The smart young man got the levels from him to at a very young age.

His second thriller, the odessa file which was published in 1974, plays in 1963 with the main character of the plot, peter miller. Living in Hamburg, the freelance journalist stumbles upon an elderly German Jew, Salomon Tauber’s diary after he commits suicide. Tauber committed suicide after seeing a sadistic concentration camp commander during World War II. SS Captain Edward Roschmann is the target of Miller’s obsession after reading the diary. a group called odessa helped many s.s. to escape after the war and still active in nazi germany. Odessa stops at nothing to protect members, and with the help of Israeli intelligence, Miller poses as a former S.S. need help from odessa. Miller has his own personal reasons for finding Roschmann, which he eventually does despite being found out by the Odessa leaders. Endangering his own life and that of his girlfriend, this book is nail-biting to the end.

In 1987, his thriller The Fourth Protocol, which she wrote in 1984, was filmed, with Pierce Brosnan and Michael Caine as protagonists. An interesting fact is that he grew up in a farming environment in Ashford and that love stayed with him through all of his world travels. In 1988, he bought an estate near Hertford, England, which he loves. Indulging in classic sports cars is another passion of the author and he is proud to display his Austin Healy 3000 and Jaguar XKSS. his other passions are snorkeling and diving in the tropics twice a year. Another interesting fact to note is the fact that he doesn’t trust computers and doesn’t even do online banking. This great author has no computer skills and he wrote all his books on his Japanese typewriter and he is proud of it.
