dr seuss books were part of my childhood. my favorite as a kid was hop on pop. i thought that was hilarious…especially the “stop! you shouldn’t get on the pop.” after some research i found that not everyone found this part as funny as i did. an article on cnn discusses a complaint and takedown request submitted to the toronto library against the beloved book because it “encourages children to use violence against their parents” say oh i am pleased to say that the request to remove the book from the library was denied and hop on pop still is available for children to enjoy.
