This first book in the Bregdan Chronicles series of historical fiction will draw you in and never let you go. you will experience the civil war era (and all the years to come) through the eyes of black and white, for free & amp; slave, south & norteño, and you will fall in love with all the characters. how many books will there be in the bregdan chronicles? you’ll have to ask god about that… i intend to write the stories of these characters, one year at a time, as long as i can write. I am passionate about bringing history to life through historical fiction. since I’m incredibly healthy, that could be for a long time! I don’t like stories to end any more than you do. This one won’t be over for long!
review: what a wonderful role model for women of all ages. Ginny Dye’s cast of characters are the kind of people you’d like to meet personally. its protagonist, carrie cromwell, is not the typical ‘southern belle’; she is a freethinker, ahead of her time in a world of war and madness. our author is not afraid to use divine and spiritual beliefs to bring common sense and sanity to the backward and inhuman thinking of the times leading up to the civil war. the fact that these characters, now friends, accompany us for more than one book of historical fiction, is something to look forward to. Now in book four, with many more to come, I’ll be reading the entire epic for as long as our author can write and I can read!

Ginny would love to meet all the people who read her books. Since that’s not possible, she can at least let you get to know her a bit. Born in North Carolina, she is a wanderer at heart. She has lived all over the United States, exploring each state and having wonderful adventures along the way. She has managed horse ranches in Texas and Oregon; she’s worked with teens from all over the country (she loves them!), and she’s walked, biked, rafted, and played everywhere she could.
