Gordon Korman is one of the leading Canadian-American authors who has written some of the most successful novels of his writing career. most of his books are written under the genres of books for children and young adults. In all, he has written more than 85 novels in his writing career so far. The author Korman was born on October 23, 1963 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He lived there until 1970. He spent most of his growing up days in Thornoll, Ontario, located north of Toronto. Korman studied first at German Mills School and then at Thornlea Public School located in Thornhill, Ontario. After that, he moved to the United States to attend college at New York University. Author Korman studied film and film writing and later earned his BFA in 1985 from New York University. his credential also included a bachelor’s degree in theater and visual writing and a minor in television and imaging. The first book Korman attempted to write was at the age of 12. When he was in 7th grade at the German public school, he had an English teacher named Hamilton, who was also a track and field coach for his class. It was Hamilton’s first time taking on the role of English teacher, and he needed a few students to volunteer to write a novel during the semester. Author Korman was one of the volunteers and the manuscript of the novel became his first book. The book was titled “This Can’t Be Happening at Macdonald Hall” and became the first book in the successful Macdonald Hall series. At the time, author Korman was appointed as his class monitor by the Scholastic Book Club. so, when he finished writing the assignment, he mailed it to the scholastic publishers.
The novel was finally published by them in the year 1978. At that time, the author Korman was only 14 years old. By the time he completed high school in Thronhill, Ontario, he had already written and published a total of 5 books. In all, author Korman has sold more than 25 million print copies of his books over his three-decade career. Author Korman says that he has been writing novels for more than 3 quarters of his life. most of the books he has written in this time period have been translated into more than 30 foreign languages around the world. As of today, he lives in his house located on Long Island, just outside of New York City. Author Korman’s happy family consists of his lovely wife and his three children. When he is not busy writing novels, the author Korman can usually be seen as one of his 3 children for some rehearsal or practice or some other game. Apart from that, he likes to make appearances in libraries, bookstores, schools and other places to promote his books. one of the series of popular novels written by author gordon korman is known as “the 39 clues”. It consists of 8 books in total that were published between the years of 2008 and 2015. One of the initial novels in this series is titled ‘Cahills vs. vespers’. This book was released by Scholastic Press in the year 2011. In the main plot of the book, the main characters, Dan Cahill and Amy Cahill, are shown to engage in an adventurous attempt to save the world against a shadowy group called as the vespers. At the beginning of the story, Dan is depicted as a 13-year-old boy who has an older sister named Amy Cahill. Initially, they both used to think that they were part of one of the most powerful families in the world. the others were trying to find the source of that power, which lay in the 39 clues that were hidden somewhere. Amy and Dan thought that nobody was looking for those clues anymore and that the origin of their powerful family was safe. however, their thinking that they had won ultimately turned out to be wrong. they start receiving distress calls from all over the world, one after another. Soon, Dan and Amy realize that their family members were being kidnapped by the dark group, the Vespers, one by one. eve they make a strange ransom demand on dan and his sister, to whom they were bound at all costs or else they would start killing the kidnapped members of the cahill family. now amy and her brother had very few days left with them and they didn’t know what the vespers really wanted or how they should stop them. in the end, it seemed that the eves were playing to win at all costs and if they managed to find all 39 clues, they would take the world as their next hostage.
One of the other books in the 39 Clues series by author Gordon Korman was published under the title “A False Note.” It was released by Scholastic Publishing Inc in the year 2008. At the beginning of this book, it is shown that the race to find the 39 clues related to the Cahill family was still on by the rest of the world. And the members of the Cahill family must prevent them from finding the clues to safeguard their family’s great power. Fourteen-year-old Amy and his younger brother, Dan Cahill, are shocked to discover that they are in the lead to pull off this job. The hunt for clues leads them both to Vienna. They seem to have a Mozart score with a coded message. this coded piece turns out to be the key for them to find the next clue among the 39 clues. However, Dan and his older sister, Amy Cahill, realize that some of the Cahill family’s power-hungry relatives are following them. Their path seems to be fraught with so many difficulties that the brothers can’t see if they are headed for victory or a dangerous trap.
