Graham Hancock is an English author of history and non-fiction books. He has been hailed as the Indiana Jones of alternative archeology and the New Age answer to David Attenborough.
In 1995, Hancock set the pace among academic elites when his book Fingerprints of the Gods was published. The book is a re-evolution of a well-known theory that early man’s advanced civilization was wiped off the face of the earth by a giant comet near the end of the last ice age. In 2013, he published Nights of the Witch, which marked the beginning of the War God series.

the night of the witch is the first book in the god of war series. The story begins with Montezuma, and readers are quickly introduced to the world of the Mexicas (known as the Aztecs) as seen through the eyes of Montezuma. The Mexicas are warrior peoples who conquer all those around them, forcing them to pay tribute or take them captive for human sacrifice. Inside one of his prison pens where prisoners wait to be killed is a teenage girl named Tozi. Everyone around her calls her a witch.
The Tlaxcalans, the people against the Mexica, are represented in this story through the eyes of one of their warrior chiefs, and from him, we learn about them and their belief systems. then on the spanish side is hernán cortes. his loyal lieutenant also plays an essential role in the story and is an expert with a sword. there is also pickle; an orphan raised by Dominican monks who are also sent on a court mission to sail west from Cuba to work as a page for Father Muñoz.

The story is told from a different point of view of the different main characters. the introductions of the main characters make up the first 50 pages, but other characters enter the story but follow the plot lines of the main characters. but the book itself is not light reading. The novel is over 600 pages long and has a large number of casts, so the author had to include dramatic characters in the last few pages to ensure the reader understood each character’s role in the story.
malinal, cortes, torzi, and other well-crafted and pleasant characters. but it’s the period that makes this a compelling read. if you want a story with sword fights, human sacrifice, evil inquisitors, massive battles then look no further. there is a vivid depiction of the war, and the story leaves nothing to the imagination. the blood and gore are brought to life by the fact that these historic battles occurred.

decades ago, hancock published the fingerprints of the gods to reassess our past who claimed that a civilization, more advanced than modern culture, was annihilated by a comet.
Based on Graham Hancock’s extensive research and interviews with astronomers and archaeologists, Fingerprints of the Gods claim that remnants of this calamity went to settle in different locations from Egypt to Mexico and passed on their advanced ancient knowledge to other remnants. . Notable claims in the novel include: a statement that the Great Pyramids of Giza were built to store books of knowledge using ancient technology; that Plato, the author of Timaeus and Critias, knew precisely the location of the lost city; the great sphinx arrived thousands of years before the ancient egyptians.
After its publication, Fingerprints of the Gods was an instant success and remains one of the most influential books ever written. It has been translated into more than 27 languages and sold more than nine million copies worldwide. This book inspired the 2009, 2012 disaster movie directed by Hollywood director Roland Emmerich.

In Egypt, the pyramids are believed to be much older than mankind. while we are told to think that the three pyramids were meant to be tombs, the legends say that they were meant to be star clocks. they share a similar legend to the Native Americans. Osiris is believed to have imparted wisdom to the Egyptians. according to an interview posted on the telegraph website, mr. Hancock claims that he is not an academic. but he also points out that the foundations on which human history is based are suspect. he claims that archaeologists and historians are not invincible.
Recent discoveries could prove Graham Hancock’s theory correct. For example, nanodiamonds, types of diamonds that only form as a result of cosmic impact, were discovered in North America. Geology magazine confirmed that these stones were formed 12,800 years ago. Graham Hancock’s books state that the giant cataclysm occurred 12,000-13,000 years ago. these are some of the many legends refined in this book. the novel has excellent strengths, showing us the connection of the ancient civilization.
