Jane Green Warburg, or simply Jane Green as her pseudonym indicates, is an English author who creates novels aimed primarily at women. Having been credited as one of the forerunners of the ‘chick lit’ genre, she is considered a pioneer within the field of it. This is a career that she is destined to continue, as she writes novels that are well received critically and commercially.

early years and personal life

Having attended the University of Wales at Aberystwyth, Jane Green graduated and became a journalist in her twenties. Having been born in London on May 31, 1968, she would go on to create the genre that would become commonly known as ‘chick lit’. She currently lives in Connecticut, she lives with her second husband after having divorced her previous partner.

She lives with her six children, she and her husband Ian Warburg also have four cats and two dogs. Still writing to this day, she devotes much of her free time to philanthropic endeavors, including Paul Newman’s camp for children who have suffered from life-threatening illnesses; ‘the hole in the wall gang camp’. She also regularly donates to various breast cancer charities as well as the Bethel Recovery Center. Supporting the Westport Country Playhouse and the Westport Public Library, she is also a well-established patron for the arts.

She soon finds out that she wants a change in her life, as she wants to drastically alter it, especially after meeting Ben, a handsome but seemingly unattainable colleague of hers, and she soon decides it’s time to move on. That’s when she goes online to meet Brad, a hunk from California for whom she feels she must reinvent herself as she becomes the woman she feels he wants her to be. she soon realizes that he may have different ideals than she originally thought. Will she find out that Brad is everything she hoped he would be and how will he find her once they finally meet? What are she the real likes of her and how does she really feel about bigger women? Upon gaining recognition in the United States, Green discovered that she had proven her worth with the success of her previous books, which led to her signing a contract in the United States. As she got the success that was required, she soon discovered that she was going to have a transatlantic appeal with the release of this novel.

this time introduces tasha’s story and traces her progress as a producer of a morning show that is one of the most popular in britain. while she is single but still searching, she is dating in hopes of finding the right guy for her. with the three friends of hers, they all hope to reassure the men in their lives who seem to just drift along without staying anywhere. As they wait to set their sights on the ideal guy, they seek to gain a more grounded sense of life and the world around them. Will they find someone who can get them settled once and for all? can they find who they are and what they want from life? what will become of them when they seek to speak frankly?
