She has the real name, Jean Marie Untinen and was born as the second daughter among a total of five siblings. Jean is particularly known for his world-famous series of novels, “Children of the Earth”, which is a collection of several novels of historical fiction. The series deals with Cro-Magnon interactions with Neanderthals during prehistoric Europe. the series was so successful that it sold over 34 million copies worldwide and was also translated into several languages. The first novel was released by Bantam Publishing in the year 1980. The plot of the novel opens with an earthquake that takes away all members of Ayla’s family except her. she is left to wander the dangerous and unknown land of the clan. Soon, a woman from the clan named Iza finds her and adopts her as her own daughter. the clan was full of people who were different from ayla in every way. Ayla was considered as a member of the others by the people of the clan, as they found her blonde hair and blue eyes to be ugly. however, iza doesn’t think so. over time, creb and iza grow closer to ayla as she learns about the way of life of the people of the clan. Soon, most of the people in the clan begin to accept her as their own due to her healing abilities. however, a brutal young man, who is about to become the next leader of the clan, does not like her and sees her as a possible threat. he seems determined to get revenge on ayla and expel her from her clan.
