my personal opinion on the blydon series
I knew Julia Quinn by hearsay, especially after the direction that the adaptation of her series took, but I hadn’t read her before and I must say that I like the way she writes. They are light, fresh, ironic novels with especially female characters who are very vindictive and very far from the canons of the time.

they are novels where the clothing and some behaviors are what make you notice that you are in a historical novel but very current, they are the kind of novels that make you smile and evade reality. don’t show yourself something different, you know in advance what is going to happen but still you can’t stop reading because of its fluency.
I like that interaction or “cameo” of the previous characters in the novel because it helps you to contextualize the moment in which it happens more and you are more involved in the direction of the previous characters today. a gradual evolution of the characters on an emotional and sentimental level is shown, they will understand each other and their needs will be respected.
They are those perfect novels to relax, without thinking about anything else. I think that the adaptation of the blydons could be another success, especially due to the freshness of their characters and dialogues. On a personal level, I would prefer the first and last parts, they are the most dynamic and enthusiastic, they are the purest and most charismatic characters, and the fact is that the beginning and end of the series perfectly follow the trail of the journey.
without a doubt, I will repeat with this author again and I have her bilogy pending and I think I will read it soon because I know that I will enter a fun read, with touches of love and especially very vindictive with the role of women in that society and it is that they are something more than a mere object with the sole purpose of engendering and it is that julia quinn offers them a role of charismatic women who fight for happiness next to a man but without forgetting her role as a woman in the society.
