born in 1947 in new jersey in the united states and where she also grew up, katherine hall page, daughter of the executive director of the kessler institute for rehabilitation and an artist mother, had an older brother and a younger sister. Growing up, her family developed a passion for coastal Maine, so they could always spend their summer vacations on Deer Island. interestingly, katherine graduated with a bachelor’s degree from wellesley college, majoring in the english language and then received her master’s degree in secondary education for the wisps and some time later, she received a doctorate in management, public planning and social policy from howard college. in fact, it was her college that brought her to massachusetts, where she has lived ever since.

In this book, Faith Fairchild has spent so much time in New York City that she is convinced that she has witnessed just about everything. However, the transplanted provider and pastor’s wife was unprepared for some of the things that were to come in the sleepy Massachusetts town of Aleford, which is why she is so shocked by the body that was discovered hidden in the bell tower of church. There is no doubt that the victim is Cindy Shepherd, well known locally for her jilted suitors and her acid tongue which has created a lot of bad blood and a host of perpetrators, including even her hapless fiancé, who apparently had no alibi and no better way to cut off commitment. Though Faith thinks it’s pretty unfair that the police have targeted her hapless boyfriend, she heads out to try and find out the truth. however, she delving deeper and deeper into some of the sordid secrets of a certain small town in England. the actions seem to make the natives of that town nervous. It is now apparent that her curiosity could well become another death statistic in no time at all in this small town.
another book in this same series is the body in seaweed. this book is about the spinster puzzle. well, in this book, nothing seems to liven up faith fairchild’s awful, boring vacation on maine’s sanpere island, until the moment she buys a beautiful hand-woven quilt at an estate auction, designed and created by a wealthy , late and dejected Matilda Prescott. the acquisition of faith becomes a real bargain, and even more so when she discovers that it is actually a map or a route to the old woman’s hidden treasure. However, instead of this map leading the minister’s wife to find Prescott’s prized gold, Matilda’s cleverly crafted clues lead Faith to the seaweed-covered corpse apparently floating in a nearby pond. once again this resourceful armor detective gets entangled in a very dangerous puzzle that is caught up in some very complicated, twisted and dangerous threads of family greed and of course cold blooded murder. However, Faith won’t be satisfied until she can unravel the entire murder case and everything is sewn up.
These are just part of the above 21 Faith Fair Children’s Mysteries, to name just a few, which make for some pretty interesting reading. However, as interesting as they are, none of the panel books have been adopted into a movie or TV show so far, plus most of them were encrypted into audio formats.
