laurel k. Hamilton was born Laurel Kaye Klein on February 19, 1963 in Heber Springs, Arkansas but spent most of her years growing up in the small town of Sims, Indiana where she lived with his grandmother. Hamilton has completed many literary works, but she is perhaps best known for her two popular series. her writing is an intriguing mix of mystery, horror, magic, fantasy and romance in the mix. Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter is a New York Times bestseller and has over 6 million copies in print worldwide. the other most outstanding series of hers is the series of her cheerful gentry.
early childhood and education
When Hamilton was just a little boy, his mother was killed in a car accident. at that time, her grandmother took over the responsibility of raising her. laurell always attributed his personality and his attributes to the fact that his grandmother was instrumental in raising him and had no male role model involved in his life. Ella Hamilton didn’t play with dolls like most girls, but rather she was drawn to horror movies. she attributes her love of horror stories to the stories her grandmother used to tell her when she was little. When she was only 13 years old, she discovered “Doves from Hell” which is a collection of stories. after reading the entire series, she decided at this young age that she would become a writer. once she discovered “the natural history of the vampire”, she became a devoted student of vampire lore.

Hamilton attended what is now known as Indiana Wesleyan University, earning two degrees in English and Biology. The university is located in Marion, Indiana and is a private evangelical Christian liberal arts establishment. remains affiliated with the Wesleyan Church. She later met her husband, Gary Hamilton, and they had a daughter named Trinity. Hamilton’s family currently lives in St. louis county, missouri.
first beginnings
once hamilton decided she wanted to become a writer, she delved into her heart and soul. her first works were published in marion zimmer bradley’s fantasy magazine. This offered Hamilton exceptional publicity and visibility. “Those who seek forgiveness” was one of her first works, but she did not find a place in any established genre at that time. It took Hamilton over 2 years to find a publisher to take on the draft. In 1994, she published the first book in the Anita Blake series: Vampire Hunter. the book’s title was “Guilty Pleasures” and readers were quickly drawn to the strong characters as well as scenes that vividly depicted sexual behaviors and violence. this has kept the series “spicy”. She continued to work on the Anita Blake series until there are currently 11 books in the series. each of these has been praised by critics and is very popular with fans of vampire legends.

In 2000, Hamilton began work on another series detailing the adventurous and joyous nobility, who is a fey princess. Books in this series have also made it to the New York Times Book List numerous times. Hamilton has also written some of the books that are part of the Star Trek series of novels.

1. Anita Blake: Vampire Slayer is a character who raises the dead as her profession. This necromancer and entertainer also executes vampires and later in the series she becomes a US Marshal.
2. Anita Blake Comics: These are simply comic book versions of the stories contained in the Anita Blake series. His first three books, Guilty Pleasure, Circus of the Damned, and Laughing Corpses, have appeared in comics.

The Merry Gentry series is a series of stories surrounding a fairy princess who is also a private investigator. these 8 novels have gripping plots that focus on those who believe that fairies exist and are trying to assassinate the nobility; and those who do not live in the “real world” and do not believe in its existence.

Hamilton has created a whole series of books about Anita Blake. Blake is one of Hamilton’s best-known characters. the setting is an altered society in which werewolves and vampires have finally been accepted into the world’s social order. Anita Blake is a vampire slayer who can almost keep up with all of her favorite superheroes. However, Ella Blake is able to retain her femininity so that she remains attractive to male characters. In the novel series, Blake makes a living by reanimating the dead and then gaining useful information from them. When necessary, she becomes an expert vampire hunter and is very intimate with both the werewolves and vampires that reside in St. Louis Hamilton grew tired of women being tricked into big fight scenes that seemed reserved for male characters, so he made sure Blake was allowed plenty of violent encounters.
Any book to be turned into a movie?
In early 2009, rumors were circulating that Hamilton had agreed to sign a deal with the IFC to turn the Anita Blake series into a full-length film and perhaps even a television series. Hamilton announced that these were not wrong rumours, but rather that she was working with officials and that the series had been the subject of an option. Although plans were initially to adapt the Blake series into film, later in 2009, Hamilton also announced that the plans had been discontinued.
