Notables seal

each year, a committee of the association of library services for children (alsc) identifies the best of the best in children’s books. according to the criteria of notables, “notable” is defined as: worthy of note or notice, important, distinguished, outstanding. As applied to children’s books, notables should be thought of as including books of especially commendable quality, books that exhibit bold creativity, and fiction, information, poetry, and picture books for all age levels (birth to age 14) that reflect and foster children’s interests. in an exemplary manner.
