With her birthday on August 31, 1953, Marcia Clark was born and raised in Berkeley, California, in the United States, where she spent much of her education, gaining an interest in law and the law system from an early age. . it was this interest of hers that led her to become a prosecutor later, a career choice that helped inform her work as the novelist she has become today. An intelligent and academic woman, she had a gift with her understanding of the legal system, something that would later be reflected in her work as well.
graduating from susan e. Wagner High School, a public high school based on Staten Island in the Manor Heights section, attended the University of California at Los Angeles, also graduating in 1976. With a bachelor’s degree in political science, he later earned a doctorate in law from Southwestern University School of Law, and then was finally admitted to the California State Bar in 1979. Initially published in 2013 on June 18, it was first published through the little, brown and company imprint as it marked the third in the rachel knight series. Continuing the previous line, Marcia Clark gives her audience more of what they are looking for, capturing both the essence and the tone of the previous installments. in further developing his characters, he managed to build on the style and tone, giving the characters a longer and more finely detailed backstory.
After the death of the daughter of a billionaire Hollywood director is discovered, Rachel Knight must get to the bottom of the case and find the killer. then, when it turns out that the prime suspect is a well-respected talent manager and good friend of the victim’s father, it looks like the gentleman may have a job cut for her. Since many in Hollywood do not want the gentleman to find out the truth, they try to hinder her by discrediting her by any means possible, while waging an all-out media war against her. who could have killed the women and will they strike again? Why have they killed her and how far will they go to contain Rachel Knight? what lies behind the murderous ambition?
the competition
This was to be the fourth in the Rachel Knight series, directly following the last, and was published on March 31, 2015, this time through Mulholland Books. With the same character as before, he now provides a sense of familiarity for the reader, as he knows what he is getting, with Clark offering him more of what he wants. however, that’s not to say there aren’t any surprises, as it still offers plenty of twists and turns, keeping the reader guessing until the end of the book.
In this case, Rachel Knight finds herself teaming up with Los Angeles Police Department Detective Bailey Keller as they deal with the harrowing aftermath of a high school massacre. Since the shooting had already taken place, it’s up to both of them to find out what happened on that eventful day and who the real culprits are. it appears that those who originally thought they were the instigators might actually have been victims, in which case the real killers might still be on the loose. this means that it is now up to them to reach the end of the competition before tragedy strikes again.
