marcia willett, as a young woman, loved to do ballet, but grew out of the classical proportions required for it and her aspirations to become a ballerina faded soon after. She Marcia’s writing career didn’t begin until she was fifty years old, and she has been busy writing novels ever since. she has been able to write quite a few, writing more than twenty novels and even some short stories; Many of her novels are stand-alone works, but she has written the “Chadwick Chronicles.” And that’s just the work she’s published under her own name, she’s even written a few novels under the pseudonym Willa Marsh. her novels are published in many countries and have also been translated into many languages; these books have also appeared on best-seller lists in other countries.
willett was born in somerset on august 6, 1945, but has lived much of his life in devon. She has also lived on a high cliff on the north coast of Cornwall. Currently, she and her husband live in South Devon and receive visits from their son and her family.

“Looking Forward” is the first novel in the “Chadwick Chronicles” which was published in 1998. Felicia, Sam and Susanna are orphaned after their parents and older brother die while in Kenya. After this, they are sent to live with Frederica “Freddy” Chadwick (her grandmother) who lives in Devon. Freddy has been through a lot in her life, and she wouldn’t get anywhere without the help of Ellen and Fox (her loyal servants and two people who have been helping her through her difficult time). Theo, Freddy’s brother-in-law, is a minister who is ready to help her. During this, her three grandchildren are trying to deal with her grief and move on with her lives.

Fans of the novel enjoyed Marica Willett’s ability to write a story, and found that it captures the atmosphere of British life very well. you really care about these people, who seem to be real people, in these novels and what is going to happen to each and every one of the characters. If you are looking to read something with some nice and touching moments, check out this book. some readers found that they couldn’t wait to read more of this series. Willett knows how to develop not only the characters, but also the relationships they have with the other characters in the novels. This book will draw you in and make you a fan, not just of the Chadwick family stories, but of the rest of Marcia’s work.
Some readers didn’t like how little plot there was in the book and that there weren’t many fast-moving events in the novel to keep it interesting. Some didn’t like that the death of the three Chadwicks, the event that sets it all in motion, is only briefly mentioned and not seen. this novel was more something you would read for pleasure than thrill.
“holding on” is the second novel in the “chadwick chronicles” which was published in 1999. devon fortress has been the home of the chadwicks for many generations. the three brothers who grew up there are moving out to go out into the world and start out on their own. fliss must go to hong kong with her husband, even though it means she has to travel a long way from her house. susanna is close to falling in love and mole is now a sailor. Freddy is afraid he will die before the next generation of Chadwicks arrives. What she doesn’t realize is that her three grandchildren need her love and help to get through the tough times ahead. Freddy knows that the fortress must be ready for them to return.

Fans of the novel liked the way willett has brought these characters to life through his writing and the descriptions of the scenery are wonderful. some readers found themselves thinking about things the characters had done even after they had finished the book. This is a very lovely series that Willett has created for the readers. these characters create a friendly company that allows for light and easy reading. some liked the fact that there were some life lessons to be found in the book along with the interesting story told here.
Some readers didn’t like how little conflict there was in the novel, and it seems to be about people having fun with everything they do. there is no fighting to get anything or do anything for them. everything seemed to be handed over to these characters, not many of them working as hard as they were born into status and privilege. some found the novel too slow for them, with a few things slowing things down.
reader’s digest chose “a week in winter” and “the children’s hour” for its “love and life” series. he also won the 2002 readers digest magnum award for most popular author of the year.
