Martina Cole is one of England’s renowned authors who has written many independent novels in the mystery and thriller genres. In addition to being a novelist, she is also a successful businesswoman and television presenter. She was born on March 30, 1959 in Essex, England. Her birth name is Eilidh Martina Cole, but she has dropped her given name after becoming an author so that she looks short and sweet. As a child, she grew up in Aveley, Essex in England. Although Ella Cole is a British citizen, she is of Irish ethnicity as her parents were Irish Catholics. To date, she has published over 17 crime and thriller novels. In some of her novels, she has given the description of the real mafia underworld present in London, who carry out secret operations in the criminal world. Four of the novels written by Cole have been made into television dramas that have received high ratings as well as her own novels.

At the age of 15, she dropped out of school because she was involved in a love relationship that finally led her to give birth to her first child at the age of 19. They called him Christopher. Cole’s unique writing style can be seen in all of her novels, as most of them feature a woman as the main character or as an anti-hero. and also some of her novels take place within the community of the Irish located in the city of london and its surroundings. Ella’s novel The Take was made into a television series starring Tom Hardy in the title role as Freddie. The show was broadcast on the Sky 1 channel from June 17, 2009. The latest novel written by Cole introduces a new gangster character named Michael Flynn, who is considered a very dangerous criminal in the underworld. Later in her career, Cole received the Crime Writers Award for her excellent work in the crime and thriller genres.

The plot of the novel revolves around the lives of the main characters Eamonn Docherty and Cathy Connor. In the opening sequence of the novel, the main characters, Eamonn Docherty and Cathy Connor, are thrown into the streets of London’s seedy East End and left alone. Growing up the daughter of a prostitute, Cathy’s life becomes miserable, leading to an unsettling test as she has no choice and nowhere else to go. Trying to run away from her miserable life, she is rescued by Desrae, who teaches her how to survive in the criminal underworld society. meanwhile, eamonn goes to america with her father and after a while he becomes one of new york’s deadliest villains. It is believed that when the paths of both cross, they will be a perfect couple and it is only a matter of time before this happens. Cathy is beautiful, tough, and smart, and Eamonn is strong and powerful. so if the two meet, they won’t run away again and hopefully lead a happy life.
one of the other novels written by cole was titled ‘the shot’. It was published in 2005 by the titular publisher. This novel is about the turbulent lives of the main characters Freddie Jackson and his wife Jackie. In the opening plot of the novel, Freddie Jackson is depicted leaving prison. During his time in prison, he made a lot of connections with the people of the underworld and now he has started to think that he is the owner of the criminal underworld. however, his wife jackie doesn’t want him to do anything wrong that will land him in prison again and just wants him to come home. But Freddie can’t leave behind the violence and the girls of the criminal world. eventually, his life begins to become unstable, resentful, and bitter. on the other hand, his sister maggie’s star continues to rise. she is in love with her cousin jimmy of her. Freddie knows the value of staying together as a family, but he is also aware of the fact that betrayal and jealousy continue to grow behind closed doors. In the criminal world, he can’t be trusted and everyone is always on the lookout.
