However, events in Pru Parke’s life get in the way of his plans. she seems distracted by the charm of the handsome detective inspector, lazy and at the same time, tries to delve into the mystery of her British roots. when it appears that she is making considerable progress in her endeavors, every one of her projects is wrecked and shattered by chaos. this is followed by the sudden death of one of her workers, which worries her even more. Even though the police find a suspect, Pru seems certain that the real killer is still in sight. As a result, she finds herself embroiled in wild and evil intentions, with only Detective Inspector Pearse to back her up. With her help, Pru Parke intends to find out the real killer and at the same time complete the Primrose House project before the deadline.
