Michael Scott is a well-known Irish author who has made great contributions to literature through his novels based on the fantasy, horror and young adult genres. He was born on September 28, 1959 in Dublin, Ireland. In addition to writing fantasy novels under his real name, he also uses a pseudonym to write novels based on romance and science fiction genres. since he started writing novels professionally as an author, he has never stopped and has published at least one book every year and has been in this profession for 25 years. He has now become one of Ireland’s most prolific and successful authors. Michael is said to have over 100 titles under his belt in various genres in his writing career. the novels written by him have been published in more than 38 countries around the world and in both adult and young adult categories. his novels have also been translated into more than 20 languages around the world. Michael owns a large collection of Irish Fairy and Folk Tales, Irish Ghosts and Ghosts, and Irish Myths and Legends. These Michael collections have been in continuous print for over 20 years and have also been included in the most cited and definitive works on the subject. Due to his excellent works, Michael is considered one of the authorities of the folklore of the Celtic lands. he is also the main reason behind the resurgence of people’s interest in Irish subjects in the mid-1980s.

Michael Scott has published a total of 4 series of novels in his authoring career, of which the Tales of the Bard series is considered one of the most prominent. It consists of a total of 3 novels published between the years 1987 and 1988. The first novel in the series was called ‘Wizard’s Law’ and was published as a paperback in 1987. The plot of the novel opens with the appearance of a strange figure under the trees. he was in the form of a man and taller than the novel’s main character, paedur the bard. when the strange man appeared in front of paedur, he stopped short and ordered him to go ahead and face him. The strange figure, known as the mannam, the lord of the dead, had a very thin sword-like body and was covered in a cloak of withered and scorched leaves from head to foot. From this interaction of Paedur the bard with Mannam, the lord of the dead, began his extraordinary and adventurous journey. he confronts the ghastly figure of the ruler of the silent forest, with whom paedur enters into a dangerous deal. Depending on the fulfillment of the deal, Paedur can travel to magical and awesome realms of enchantment along with some brutal and terrifying powers. the forces of darkness were always present to threaten and engulf the enlightenment he so bravely held. they were hot on his heels all the time and were looking for an opportunity to gobble up the lighting from him.

The second novel in the series was published by the orbit publishing house in 1988 under the title ‘the law of the devil’. The plot of the continues to deal with the main character of the series, Paedur the bard, who was the champion of the old faith. In the opening sequence of the novel, Paedur tentatively crosses the unfathomable abyss of the bridge between the two worlds of life and death. people of different races are brought in a semblance of life in the silent forest of the dead, where kings, warriors, priests and peasants all live with an eternal parody of their living days in the world of life, not knowing that Hay have been dead or long and their kingdoms have been dusted as well as their times have been forgotten. people believe that mannam, the lord of the dead, likes to keep the best men, the bravest warriors, the mightiest magicians, the wisest kings, and the expert bards. he makes them live in his world according to the rules established by himself. however, no one is sure of the belief since none of those who went there have returned to tell of the wonders of the land of the dead. they don’t know if mannam deliberately takes the best men from the world of the living or if this belief has some other angle.
