Nora Blackbird takes a job as an assistant columnist at a newspaper society. she is required to attend parties to find stories and earn a living. her but her, unfortunately she stumbles upon several dead bodies as she covers the social scene for the newspaper’s main line. With the help of her two other blackbird sisters, Nora is dedicated to the investigation to solve the fashion crimes and aristocratic murders in the city. The first novel in the series was published under the title ‘How to Murder a Millionaire’. It was published in 2002 by the editorial signet. The plot of the novel takes place in Bucks County and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, United States. In the novel’s opening plot sequence, Nora Blackbird is introduced as a gossip columnist and former debutante. Meanwhile, Nora is pursued by the son of a suspected New Jersey crime boss. At this point, Nora has to set her priorities.

Meanwhile, she appears to be falling for a tough man from New Jersey, who is believed to have criminal connections. and in addition to the disputes in her family, she finds out about the murder of a new rich man in town, so she is in danger of becoming the main suspect in the murder. It is revealed that a wealthy jewel thief named Emily Post is found dead after drowning at the bottom of a swimming pool. investigators find a garden gnome tied to her ankles which caused her to drown. Now, Nora Blackbird is required to spring into action to save Flan Cooper, who is her ex-boyfriend, from a murder charge. all the circumstances begin to point all the suspicions towards nora. To clear her name of her murder charges, she must find the real killer on her own or she could end up losing her grandmother’s haute couture to a jail lawsuit. her and she only has one day to gather evidence and track down the killer.
