peter swanson is a bestselling author best known for writing the guy worth killing and all his fears. He was a finalist for the CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger Award for The Kind Worth Killing and that book was also the winner of the New England Society Book Award. it was also decorated for her every fear that was named as an npr book of the year.
swanson has been working on his craft for a long time and it was a while before it was published. he wrote fiction for ten years of his life before an agent read a story of his online and agreed to represent him. That meeting eventually led to Swanson getting a book deal and her first book, The Girl With a Clock for a Heart, is due out in 2014.
In addition to writing novels, Swanson also writes short stories, reportage and poetry. His writings have appeared in such publications as Asimov’s Science Fiction, Atlantic Month, The Measure, The Guardian, The Strand Magazine, and Yankee Magazine.

The story of the girl with a clock for a heart begins on an ordinary Friday night when George Foss’ predictable life is shattered when a beautiful woman sits at the bar. The woman is Liana Dector, George’s first love, who has been missing for twenty years. she is someone she has never been able to forget and could be a murderer wanted by the police. Now, she is here seeking George’s help from some dangerous men who are after her.
george knows this woman is trouble and he should run the other way, but he could never tell her no and he’s not going to start now. he makes a decision to help, which sends him into a world of lies, secrets, betrayal and murder that he may not be able to get out of.

Swanson returned with The Guy Worth Killing, which drew comparisons to great books like The Girl on the Train and The Lost Girl.
The book begins with Ted Severson on an overnight flight from London to Boston on his flight, he meets a beautiful woman named Lily and the two go to share a few drinks and begin to play a game of truth or dare.
Booze and gambling cause them to reveal a lot of details to each other, and Ted admits his marriage is stalling and he thinks his wife is cheating on him. when ted starts talking, he admits that they are not right for each other and says that he could kill his wife for what he has done. say something dark, but Lily is fine with it and offers to help him do it.
When they return to Boston, the two grow closer as they begin to plot their crime. However, there are a few things Ted doesn’t know about her, namely that this is not her first experience with the art of assassination, and Ted finds himself in a deadly game of cat and mouse with the co-conspirator of she.
all his fears center on kate priddy and her cousin corbin dell. kate has always been a bit neurotic and has struggled with anxiety throughout her life. She lives in London as an art student and is thrilled when Ella Corbin’s cousin offers to swap apartments with her temporarily. he lives in boston and she’s in london, so the change is a nice change of scenery for her.

However, upon his arrival he is shocked to learn that his cousin’s neighbor has been murdered. the police ask about her cousin and kate is shocked. she now she has more questions than answers.
another neighbor, alan, tells her he often saw corbin heading to the woman’s apartment. despite the fact that corbin claims not to know her. Another man, claiming to be the woman’s boyfriend, says Corbin killed her the same night she left for London.
He contacts his cousin, who gives him reason to believe he’s innocent and calms his nerves briefly. only to soon find out that he wasn’t telling the truth and finding items in the apartment that point to him being the killer. She doesn’t know who to trust or what to believe, but she will find herself in a twisted and deadly position that is worse than she could have feared.
