This book is easy for students to connect with, as each president is introduced through a child’s voice. At the same time, it explains what Presidents’ Day is and why it is important.

another great read aloud biography of brad meltzer. I Am Abraham Lincoln is written in a way that makes the story make sense to children. The book focuses on Lincoln’s character traits that made him a heroic role model. how he spoke about justice and that led to the abolition of slavery.

This is an easy to read book for children. Presidents Day shares very basic information about the holiday that even the youngest students can understand. the simple text makes it informative and fun to read for elementary classes.

Written by his wife, Joey: The Joe Biden Story, follows his path to the presidency. Starting with stories from his childhood, we learn that Biden was raised to be independent and strong. Students will really be able to connect with Joey’s antics when he was a kid!
