Bible cards come in eight printable sheets, each sheet contains nine cards. The last sheet contains three Bible books and six category cards for use with various games. use medium or heavy cardstock for durability. cut out each card before class. a complete set of cards contains the following:

book racea very popular game among children is to put the 66 books of the bible cards face down on the floor. Form two teams, assigning one team the Old Testament and the other team the New Testament. the object is to retrieve all the cards for the appropriate will and put them in the correct order on a table. each team is timed. then the game is played again working with the opposite will. the two times are added to determine a winner. the kids have a great time throwing themselves on the ground trying to find the correct cards and then running to the finish line.
Form a linePut the six category cards faceup on a table and deal the 66 Bible cards to the children. the player who has genesis starts by placing it next to the “law” category. if the same player has exodus, he can also play that card by placing it halfway on top of the genesis card, and so on. For categories that have both Old Testament and New Testament books, such as ‘Prophecy,’ the cards can be placed in both directions, but always starting with the first book in the category, then in the correct order. a player can only start a category on the first card played during his turn, but a player can develop a category until he can no longer do so. the game continues in a clockwise direction. The first player to place all of their cards on the table wins, but the other players continue until all the books are placed in the correct order.

book concentrationplaces 36 cards face down on a table, six side by side and six side by side. For the Old Testament cards, use four from the Law, four from History, four from Poetry, four from the Major Prophets, and six from the Minor Prophets. for the new testament, use four from the gospels and eight from the letters. also includes a card for the acts and another for the revelation.
Children will take turns turning over two cards. for example, if both cards are from the old testament story, the player will take these cards without making any further moves. the next player will then take their turn. cards that are turned over and do not match are placed back on the table, face down in the same place. Acts and revelation cards count as a match. Bible Book Bingo For this game, you can use two sets of cards or write the names of each book on a strip of paper instead of using a second set. Give each child nine books of Bible cards. ask the children to place their cards face up in front of them in three rows of three cards. the teacher pulls a book from the other pile, or takes a sheet of paper and calls out the name of the book. the boy with that book card flips his card over. The first child to turn over all his cards wins the game. continue playing until all the children have turned over all their cards.
next card pleasethis game works best if you have six or more children. Hand out all the cards, excluding the category cards, to each child. have the children stand in a line a few feet away from a table. explain that the goal is to get all the cards in order on the table as quickly as possible. use a stopwatch to determine how long it takes. As the children hold the cards up so they can see them, start the game by asking who has genesis, and have them run to the table and place the card on the far left. then he or she will return to where they were on the line. the boy who has exodus runs and places his card next. continue until the children place all the cards on the table in the correct order. record how long it took. then set a goal for the kids to beat their previous time and get back to playing. Divide the class into two teams. have each team form a single file in front of you and across the table. use the bible cards as flash cards. As you present each card, the children at the front of the line will compete to tell you whether the book belongs to the Old Testament or the New Testament. the first correct answer will cause the card to be added to that team’s card pile. The team with the most cards at the end of the game wins. the children move to the end of the line after each turn.
