raquel j. good author rachel j. Good grew up near Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, which is the setting for many of her Amish novels. She spends time with her Amish friends, attends family events, and performs tasks on her farm to be as authentic as possible.
Rachel loves to travel and visit various Amish communities. She has visited many different Amish auctions, markets, and mud sales in search of the best Amish soft pretzels. Due to her love of Amish food, she tries to include recipes in her newsletters and/or books as often as she can. When she’s not traveling, she spends her time with family or writing.

She was previously a teacher and librarian, completing her master’s degree at the University of Vermont while raising five children.
Along with these Amish novels, he has written over fifty books for both children and adults under many pseudonyms. she also juggles freelance editing and illustration careers of her own.
rachel’s brain is usually full of ideas. your main problem is figuring out which ones to write first. if it gets stuck while writing a project, it will just switch to something else. she also discovers that traveling, walking and making art help her recover her creative capacity.

In “Change of Heart,” Lydia is the older sister, trying to keep her wayward younger sister out of trouble during the rumschpringe. Rachel identifies with Lydia because she is her older sister and she has always felt a great weight of responsibility to take care of her younger siblings.

Micah takes them to a counselor who recommends animal therapy. he is quite surprised to find this amish farm that offers exactly that.
hope graber just had to find a way to save the family after his daughter’s health forced him to stop raising horses. providing animal therapy had proven to be the answer to his problems, thanks to the help of logan russell, an expert trainer. Together, they not only pay the bills, but also make some positive changes in children’s lives.
Hope loves working with each of the children, however, she has a special interest in the Miller twins. She even makes Micah smile again, and he does the exact same thing for her. Micah emerges from her depression and longs to make them one big happy family. However, will Hope’s debt to her English teacher and her close collaboration stand in the way?
Readers found this to be a beautifully written and moving story of compassion, love, forgiveness and healing with characters who are simply wonderful.
