Richard Paul Evans wrote his story and gave his friends and family a copy as a Christmas present. when he received positive responses from them, he decided to self-publish the book locally and then nationally. in no time, it’s on the new york times bestseller list ranking second.
this remarkable event turned into a very sweet $4.2 million offer from simon & Schuster and become the first book to reach No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list for both paperback and hardcover at the same time. This is one of four books written by Evans that was made into a TV movie.

With fame comes recognition and credit for a job well done. Evans won first place in the world of storytelling twice, a book award with American Mothers, one with the Wilbur Award from the Council of Religious Communicators, the Gold Award for Romance with the German Leserpreis, and Best Women’s Novel of the Year. with romantic times. Her work helping abused children earned her the Volunteers of America National Empathy Award and the Washington Times Humanitarian of the Century Award.
evans is the founder of christmas box house international, which is an organized group dedicated to providing shelters and various services for abused children. the beneficiaries who receive help from its staff and use its facilities number more than 35,000.
modest beginnings to stardom
Living in Salt Lake City, Utah with his wife Keri, along with their five children and one grandson, Evans is the quintessential family man and an active part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. this sets the tone for most of his books reflecting traditional Christianity on him and supporting the principles and morals of family life. he even incorporated one of the old testament stories and characters into his book and eventual movie.
He attended cottonwood high school in salt lake city and earned a bachelor’s degree from the university of utah. It’s not exactly a preparation for his path as a writer of more than 20 bestsellers, but it has definitely made him a success.
evans has been invited to stand up and speak before different audiences and has been in the company of elated US president george w. A Winter’s Dream: This story reflects Evans’ religious views, as the concept is very similar to the story of Joseph, who was sold by his brothers due to jealousy. in his version, the hero was displaced from his favorite place in the company and from the esteem of his father.
