He was often seen at the Kansas City Public Library reading books late into the day. At some point, around the age of 16, she said that so far she had read everything published in the science fiction genre that he could find.

He attended Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri, graduating at the age of 17. She then attended the U.S. naval academy in annapolis, maryland, from which he graduated in 1929 with a degree in naval engineering, after which he continued to work as a naval officer. He spent a lot of time aboard the USS Lexington, working as a radio communications officer.
During this time he was briefly married to Elinor Curry, and after their divorce, in 1932 he married Leslyn Macdonald. two years later, in 1934, he left the navy because he had a weakened immune system after contracting tuberculosis and being dizzy all the time.
After his discharge from the Navy, Heinlein enrolled at UCLA, where he took some math and physics classes. he did not continue his studies for long as he decided that he wanted to play in the political arena. During those years he also held various jobs in the real estate and silver mining business.

he had some money from his time in the navy, however, the money was not enough and he had to pay a mortgage, so robert heinlein decided to become an author.
Robert Heinlein’s bibliography includes several stand-alone novels and his Future History series of novellas, as well as numerous short stories.
Her first written work was a short story called life-line, which was published in Amazing Science Fiction magazine. she soon wrote several other short stories that he sold to the same magazine. In 1942, he worked at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Pennsylvania as an aeronautical engineer. While there, he also collaborated with science fiction writers Isaac Asimov and L. sprague de camp to work with him on the same base.
A few years after the end of World War II, Heinlein wrote several science fiction short stories and began writing young adult novels.
Meanwhile, he divorced his second wife, who had become an alcoholic, and married Virginia “Ginny” Gerstenfeld, whom he met while working at the shipyard. she was a fellow chemical engineer. Virginia would become the last wife of Heinlein, who would support him until the moment of his death.
In 1959, Robert Heinlein received his first Hugo Award for his short story Double Star. Just a year later, his best-known work to date, Starship Troopers, would receive another Hugo Award. Starship Troopers was also the first book I read by this author, and while I love everything else he has written, this novel has always stayed with me ever since. in 1974 he was named the first grandmaster of science fiction writers.
robert heinlein continued to write books with several interruptions due to serious health problems. Robert Heinlein’s last book, To Sail Beyond the Sunset, was published on his birthday in 1987, a date that was only a few months before his death. some books have also been published posthumously.
The author is credited with taking the science fiction genre to a new perspective and a new standard. robert a. Heinlein used a technique called indirect exposition, which would allow readers to learn about the world he would build in his books without them realizing he was doing it.
