Fear Street: 1994 introduced fans to the assassins of the dark side, after young Josh (played by Benjamin Flores Jr.) had been investigating the deaths in his town. Knowledge of him became incredibly useful when they were faced with a new assassin, and his friend Sam (Olivia Scott Welch) began to become one.
Throughout the films, audiences got a glimpse of more killers, with fear street: 1978 introducing fans to the late-night killer camp, while fear street: 1666 meant fans knew the original killer from the shadow side. , pastor cyrus miller.

Of course, that movie also explained how those killers went from normal townspeople to serial freaks, and it turned out that good wasn’t so good after all.
Below are some spoilers for the street of fear trilogy.
shadow side assassins explained
pastor cyrus miller
The first known serial killer is Pastor Cyrus Miller, who killed children in his congregation by gouging out their eyes.
They included Henry, Sarah Fier’s brother (also played by Benjamin Flores Jr.), and Constance (Sadie Sink, who played young Ziggy in Fear Street: 1978).
This happened after he started muttering to himself and acting strange, then all of a sudden sarah (kiana madeira) found out that he had locked the children in the church hall and killed them.
He was then killed by the villagers for his crimes, and it is decided that Sarah is responsible for casting a spell on him.
the scammer
Little is known about the scammer, but a terrifying image was seen of him drowning someone in a river.
He wore a leather mask when he committed his crimes, which were also listed as attacking and disemboweling women.
Maybe, the inspiration for his character came from Jack the Ripper, the Victorian murderer who operated in London and also attacked women, sometimes removing their organs.
billy thief
the main difference in billy barker is that he was a boy who was cursed and killed his brothers with a baseball bat in 1922.
There is something particularly sinister about the boy, given that he wore a plastic doll mask over his face to commit his crimes, made even more brutal by his weapon of choice.

humpty dumpty killer
Again, little is known about this killer except that he operated in 1935 and left body parts for people to find, hence his name.
It may be, if a future film is made, that this villain will be considered in more detail.
the milkman
the milkman, also known as harry rooker, used to kill innocent housewives during his rounds in the 1950s.
He wore his blue overalls for his crimes, and a knife was his weapon of choice.
In Fear Street: 1978, he appears again and viciously attacks Ziggy (Sadie Sink), continuously stabbing her while Tommy Slater (Mccabe Slye) chased after his sister, Cindy (Emily Rudd).
also gets caught at the end of the final movie, as they try to lift the curse on shadyside.
ruby lane
Ruby Lane is a more prominent assassin in all three films, in part due to the appearance of her mother, Mary Lane (Jordan Spiro) in the second film.
ruby was a teenager in the 1960s who killed all her friends at a party and then took her own life.
She is first seen in the first movie when a girl was sitting on the side of the road singing to herself “you always hurt the ones you love”.
an unsuspecting simon (fred hechinger) tried to flirt with her, before she stabbed him with the knife and he realized she was the first resurrected assassin trying to cause them trouble.
Her mother, Mary, tried to find out what happened to her in Fear Street: 1978, and it was Mary’s book that led them to the underground core of the curse.
ruby also showed up in 1978 to kill cindy and ziggy, but was beaten up by other killers.
tommy slater
Tommy is another familiar character who was converted thanks to the curse of the shadow side.

He was attacked by Mary Lane at Camp Nightwing, as she knew he would be the next to fall under the curse and go on a killing spree.
Soon, he started acting strange, hardly speaking and surrounded by flies.
It quickly became apparent that he was not well and he began killing his friends and fellow campers.
at one point, ziggy even put a sack over his head in hopes of disorienting him, but this didn’t work and he began to kill with the sack over his head, giving him his signature item of clothing.
he killed ziggy’s sister and his girlfriend, cindy, last of all, and was another of the assassins to be resurrected to hunt down those who were getting closer to the truth.
skull mask
The first killer we meet in the series is Ryan Torres (David W. Thompson), also known as Skull Mask.
He was a regular mall worker who was about to take Heather (Maya Hawke) out on a date when he suddenly changed.
Soon, she was fleeing from him, as his agility and skill made him a difficult opponent to defeat, and his skull mask made him even more terrifying.
in fear street: 1994, he was the main killer they faced when he broke into their houses to get closer to sam, who was his main target.
reappeared in the final movie at the killer trap ending.
the good family
While they’re not technically one of the Shadow Side Assassins, it was the Goode family who brought the curse upon them, meaning they are the genesis of the Assassins.
They were also the ones who ordered the assassins to go after specific people, as well as chose who would become assassins.
It’s safe to say that without bounties, there would be no dark side assassins, so perhaps this makes them the deadliest of them all.
luckily the younger good guy was killed before he could do any more damage, however the end of the movie shows someone else clutching the witch’s book, which means there may be more curses on the cards.
