What is Ménage Romance? – Hachette Australia

don’t be shy if you’ve never read a ménage story before, the romance genre has become more popular! a ja low ménage guide.

romance ménage, what is it?

what a great question! A ménage romance is when three people fall in love and live together happily ever after.

Isn’t this just a love triangle?

no, in a love triangle there are two people competing for the love of one person, in a ménage there are three people who love three people.

So what is a threesome?

That’s what happens in the bedroom, that can lead to a ménage relationship or a love triangle.

As a writer, it can be hard to write about two people who are together, trying to get creative with your words and not fall for a million clichés, but add a third or fourth or possibly more and things well start to turn in a logistical nightmare. it’s like naked tornado and yoga come together and have sexy babies. left hand on yellow, right leg on blue while doing downward facing dog. it’s a rubix cube of positions and they all need to be in the right slot for everything to work.

First of all, you need to find out what kind of message you are writing or want to read.

the options are quite varied:

mmf – male/male/female

this is when men are bisexual and may be in a relationship before meeting the woman or may become mmm while with the woman. (my sapphire book has this style).

mff – man/woman/woman

This is when the women are bisexual, so they have been in a relationship before they met the man or fall in love while they are with him. (as you can see these are the fantasies of most men, just like fmf)

fmf – feminine/masculine/feminine

This is when the females don’t play with each other and it’s all about the man. (again, I think this ranks high on the list of male fantasies)

mmm – man/man/man

all men

fff – feminine/feminine/feminine

all women.

but how would that work in a story?

here are some examples illustrating the above scenarios:

If you’ve never read a men’s story before, don’t be shy, the men’s romance genre has become more mainstream. has moved out of the realms of paranormal and erotic fiction and into contemporary romance areas. there’s so much more to a ménage story than the fantastic sex scenes, it’s watching three people fall in love, it’s your heart ripped out as things inevitably fall apart, it’s the crazy scenarios three people can get into that adds up to what makes ménage romance great.
