For that reason, the storylines in the books happened before the RPG, so fans of the games will have to watch both the Netflix and book series as a prequel, with recognizable characters like Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill). on the netflix show), triss and yennefer one of those characters from both the show and the video game, ciri, was also in the witcher books.

That said, here’s what we know: Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon is from Cintra, according to the character wiki, and she was the daughter of Pavetta and Emhyr var Emreis, also known as Duny.
When Ciri’s father, Emhyr, was a child, a sorcerer named Braathens cursed him to take on the appearance of a hedgehog during the day, according to the wiki, and only return to his human form at night. Eventually, however, Geralt of Rivia helps lift Emhyr’s curse, and as payment, the warlock cites the law of surprise, which occurs in the tale of the last wish, “a question of price”. At this point, the sorcerer doesn’t know that Ciri is her son, her fiancé (he assumes that Ella Pavetta gave birth to a boy), and finally the princess returns home to her grandmother.

the blood of the elves seems to be where the netflix series finally begins. In the first novel of the Warlock series, the Empire of Nilfgaard (led by Ciri’s father, Emhyr) attacks Ciri’s home kingdom of Cintra. as a result, his grandmother dies by suicide and the young woman escapes. Geralt rescues Ciri and takes her to Kaer Morhen, where she too is trained to be a witch.
However, it soon becomes apparent that his talents far surpass any normal warlock. in fact, ciri is a source, which the wiki describes as “a person who is born with a natural affinity for magical abilities that are quite difficult to control once they have blossomed, which can sometimes lead to mental illness, such as catatonia, if not helped.”
As a result, Ciri is trained by Geralt’s former lover and skilled sorceress, Yennefer, and the two women form a close bond. The moment of contempt, then, follows the princess in and out of trouble, including being captured by teachers at Aretuza school, escaping into the desert, and being kidnapped by Nilfgaardian bounty hunters. she is finally freed by the rats, a group of bandits.
The baptism of fire below follows Geralt’s quest to recover the missing Ciri, who has joined the rats and become a ruthless killer. In the Tower of the Swallow, a bounty hunter named Leo Bonhart slaughters the rats, and a philosopher named Vysogota takes in an injured Ciri. Geralt, meanwhile, is still looking for her ward.
the lady of the lake mainly occurs when ciri tells sir galahad how she, geralt and yennefer tried to meet. The book follows the princess as she walks through a portal (located in the Swallow’s Tower) into the world of the elves in Elle, from which she cannot return. According to Ciri’s character wiki, she proceeds to jump through different worlds with the help of a unicorn called a little horse, also known as an ihuarraquax. her at the end, she is shown heading to king arthur’s court with sir galahad and separated from her two mentors of hers, who are on malus island when she finishes the book.
That’s all readers know of Ciri’s book trajectory so far, as Season of Storms doesn’t continue the events of Book 7. And while it’s something of a cliffhanger, Sapkowski has said that the Ciri books warlocks ended the way he wanted them to end. In an interview with Orbit Books, the author teased that he could write more novels in the same universe, but that they won’t follow the same story as the core Witcher saga. “I was absolutely sure to myself that I will never write anything that happens after, so there will be no sequel,” Sapkowski said. “I promised the fans, I declared it many times, so I had to keep my word.”
