In addition to comics, graphic novels, and comic magazines, we also buy original comics, pulps, abridged magazines, fanzines, vintage paperbacks, and pre-1980s men’s interest magazines.
read this first: if your comics are from the 80’s, 90’s or newer, or you just want to know how much your comics are worth
Unfortunately, most of the comics published in the 80’s, 90’s and later are very common and therefore not worth much. we sell most of the comics from this period between $1.00 and $3.00, and we buy them for less than $1.00 or we don’t buy them because we already have a good assortment of them.
Here’s how to get an idea of the value of your comics:
- Look for your comic on our online wish list to see if we’re buying it and, if so, how much we’ll pay. if it’s not on our wish list, it’s usually a run-of-the-mill comic and not worth much. if it’s worth enough to sell, you can use our online wish list to sell it.
- Search for your comic using mycomicshop search to see why we’re selling it.
- search for your comic on ebay to see what other copies are for sale. Better yet, use eBay’s options to view full listings, as a full sale is more informative than an asking price on an unsold item.
So if you think your comics are valuable enough to be worth selling to us, you can use our online wish list to sell your comics from the ’80s, ’90s and later. If you are an expert comics collector or dealer and have high value items you wish to sell or consign, including cgc and cbcs rated comics, you should also look at option 1b (sell cgc and cbcs rated comics) and option 4 (consignment) described down.
option 1a: large collections, estates and retail inventories

If you are selling cgc or cbcs rated comics: Send a list of the cgc or cbcs rated comics you wish to sell to shopping@mycomicshop.com, or text 817- 701-0704 listing the cgc and cbcs comics you wish to sell. Unless your list is especially large, we should be able to get back to you with an offer within 1-2 business days, if not the same day.
if your comics are not cgc or cbcs rated: review the other selling options described on this page and choose the one that best suits your needs. for most people with comics from the 1980s or newer, this would be option 2, described below.
option 2: sell using our online wish list (all ages, all values)
- You can sell comics from any era, low or high quality, low or high value, “raw” or third party encapsulated.

option 3: sell your entire collection of comic book covers for $0.35 or less
We will buy your entire collection with option 3 if at least half of your collection has a comic book cover priced at $0.35 or less. If you have a collection consisting primarily of comics from the 1980s and newer with cover prices of $0.40 or more, we recommend using Option 2: Sell using our online wish list.
Before offering us your comics, we suggest you check with your local comic book store, antique store or used bookstore if there isn’t a comic book store in your area, and get an offer price from them for your comics. that way you’ll have something to compare to when you receive our offer. sellers who take our advice and get another offer first tell us that our offer is usually two to ten times better.
- if you have a complete list of your comics, please send it to us. we’ll evaluate your listing and respond with an offer for your entire collection.
- If you don’t have a listing, you don’t have to spend endless hours creating one. instead, send us a summary of the coverage price count that can be prepared very quickly. That and a few follow-up questions from us and you’ll have our offer.
- When we buy your collection, we’ll pick up your comics or cover shipping costs if you ship from within the continental United States.

option 5: quick sale, send your comics cover priced at $0.60 or less for an offer
flash selling is popular because it is easy and fast. prior authorization is not required. follow the instructions and submit your comics.
- comics $0.10-$0.35 cover price: any grade
- comics $0.40-$0.60 cover price: only if new (very good or near mint)
- If you have comics with a cover price of $0.65 or more, you will need to sell them using our online wish list.
- we will accept any number of comics with a cover price of $0.10 for the quick sale, even a single comic.
- otherwise your quick sale submission must contain 100 comics or more .
Once your comics arrive at our warehouse, you’ll receive an offer within seven business days, usually sooner, and we’ll pay you immediately after you accept our offer. If we cannot agree on the price of your comics, we will return your comics to you at our expense.
