the folks’ friend has kindly provided a tip sheet on every kind of piece they’re looking for, from short stories to paperback novels.
Payment: How much you’ll get paid to write for them depends on how long you’ve been writing for the people’s friend. new writers start at £80 but go up to £110 after 6 successful submissions. it’s £150 for each installment in a series. paperback novels and “long reads” – £300. poems – £15 per poem.
a story
one story searches for literary fiction and accepts and pays for stories between 3,000 and 8,000 words.

buzzing
zizzle will pay you to write fiction that appeals to children from 11 years old to adults. the length of the story should be between 500 and 1200 words.

flash fiction online accepts original fiction between 500 and 1000 words.
payment: $60 per story for original fiction.
literary crafts
craft publishes new and reissued fiction, critical craft articles, interviews, book annotations, and much more.
payment: they pay their authors $100 for original flash fiction and $200 for original short fiction.
the sun magazine
sun magazine seeks to pay writers for non-fiction, fiction and poetry pieces.

fireside fiction company is a short story magazine. they have the goal of publishing great stories regardless of genre.
Payment: 12.5 cents per word. for illustrations, they pay $400 for a full-color piece.
Asimov’s science fiction
Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine publishes science fiction stories.
They tend to pay for stories that are between 1,000 and 20,000 words. while poetry should not exceed 40 lines.
Pay: 8-10 cents per word for short stories up to 7,500 words and 8 cents for each word over 7,500. They pay $1 per line of poetry.

earn money for sharing your story
There are many publications and websites that pay to print your personal story.
There are a couple of different options. I’ve included the “sell your story” type features where you get paid to tell your story, but someone else will write it. They will likely take photos of you or ask you to provide photos to include in the feature.
or there are websites that accept and pay for real life stories and anecdotes written by you.
reader’s summary
submit to the world famous reader’s digest a true story about yourself, in 100 words or less.
payment: $100.

readers digest asia has a couple of categories they are looking for writers:
- inspirational stories or life changing experiences – 800-1000 words, pay $250 per published story
- acts of kindness – 100-500 words, pays up to $100
- anecdotes and jokes – pays $50 – 100
- tales of your amazing animals – up to 300 words, pay up to $100
beautiful magazine
share your personal story with bella magazine and win up to £1000.

You can earn money by writing articles and blog posts on a variety of topics. in fact, below is a list of blogs covering parenting, travel, business, blogging, the outdoors, and more.
If you have an interesting point of view, experience in a particular field, or are good at research, then writing non-fiction could be a good source of income working from home.

the central coast magazine seeks upbeat and personable articles on nostalgia, profiles of local personalities, subtle humor, travel, book reviews, entertainment, and health.
the length of the articles must be between 600 and 1400 words.
payment: they pay $75 for articles published with less than 850 words with illustrations or photos and $100 for articles with more than 850 words with illustrations or photos.
travel life of the writer
would like to hear from people who have been successful in travel writing, photography, the import/export business, or running their own tours and would like to share expert advice on their craft.
Payment: $50-$75 for articles published on the website, $100-$150 for interviews and personal stories, and $150 -$200 for articles with specific income advice that a reader can print and follow to get more income.

a fine parent is an online community for parents looking for articles between 1,500 and 3,000 words.

the domain of the united kingdom

wanderlust is a travel magazine and has several different categories open to submissions, from destination features to pocket guides.
Paid: Current rates for most magazine features are £220 per 1000 words published. Fact pages are paid at £90 per page (approximately 750 words) prorated. fees for other sections (including pocket guides, dispatches, and interviews) are set per item and agreed upon at the time of commissioning.
101 vacations
If you’re a travel writer, Vacation 101 would like to hear from you. however, they also offer an internship program for those starting remotely on a part-time basis.
payment: between £50 and £100 per article published, depending on its length and complexity.
our time
our times is canada’s independent labor magazine, as such they generally prefer stories based on canada.
they have three main thematic areas: feature films, poetry and work for a living.
Paid: They generally pay at least $100 for short stories and smaller articles up to 1,500 words, $200 to $300 for longer articles, and $25 for smaller articles. they pay $50 for reviews.
the green father
are looking for articles on the following topics: conscious pregnancy and childbirth, breastfeeding, family life and simple living, alternative education, natural health and beauty, green travel, feeding a family, gardening, in particular, growing your own and sustainable fashion. .
A full article should be between 1,500 and 2,000 words and short opinion pieces should be 600 words.

the mom who stays at home
The housewife is looking for articles between 600 and 800 words. Topics to consider include: Parenting Issues or Issues, Disability or Autism Spectrum, Birth and Breastfeeding, Family and Relationships, Saving Money, Starting an Online Business, Christmas Food, Christmas Crafts, Christmas Meal Plans, Fitness and Beauty , kitchen and housework, crafts. ugh!

zimmerit
zimmerit looks for posts that have some connection to Japanese fan culture of the ’70s, ’80s, or ’90s. For example, articles on anime, model kits, toys, fandom, and doujinshi, though don’t be afraid to send them wacky ideas, too.

lawyer
the lawyer is the only student newspaper of the postgraduate center. It is read by graduate students of the City University of New York and is a source of news and information related to their educational, cultural, and professional rights and interests.
Paid: Earn $100-$120 for articles between 1,500-2,000 words, and $150-$200 for longer essays. other contributions, such as reviews and photo essays, are also paid at competitive rates.
desktop publishing school
are looking for writers who are passionate about writing, publishing, marketing, and business. fill out a form, and if you meet their criteria, you’ll be sent a list of predetermined topics to write about.

writers’ weekly seeks articles on how to make money writing, home businesses, and self-employment that can result from writing, such as desktop publishing, corporate writing, ghostwriting, etc.
Payment: Featured Articles: $60 for approximately 600 words, Freelance Success Story: $40 for approximately 400 words.
independent mom
freelance mom is looking for writers who can offer up-to-date practical and practical advice. Invited articles must be between 900 and 1500 words.

earn money writing for revenue sharing websites
The websites I mentioned above pay you a flat fee to write an article, story, blog post, or poem.
But there are sites that will pay you based on the number of views your post receives.
In other words, you will share in the revenue your publication generates usually through advertising.
