To further clarify this issue, I spoke with an amazon customer service representative who told me that it is possible to send a kindle ebook to someone who lives in another country as long as they have an address in the same country as your. So in my case, for example, if I know someone who is temporarily living abroad or living abroad as an expat but still has a US address. uu. and an amazon account in the usa uu., I could send you an e-book as a gift. however, if they don’t have a us amazon account. uu. and a US address. In the US, they won’t be eligible to receive the kindle ebook gift you send them.
3. how does the recipient access their kindle ebook gift?
it is very easy to access a kindle ebook that you have been given. Recipients receive an email informing them that they have received an e-book gift and which e-book they have been given. then, to access the ebook, all you have to do is open the email, select “redeem your gift” and then select “redeem now”. (If the recipient is not signed in to their Amazon account, they may also be prompted to sign in at this stage.)
once you have selected to redeem the ebook, you will see a drop down menu that will allow you to select which device to send your ebook to.
