slave – roan parrish and avon gale
gale and parrish are prolific authors. Many of his solo works are available on Kindle Unlimited. the weird modern thrall version of dracula is my favorite.
mina and lucy have a successful true crime podcast that they ran out of in new orleans. Lucy’s brother Harker goes missing while she investigates Thrall, a new dating app.
The two discover they have a criminal problem to solve. They must race against the clock to save Harker with the help of Professor Van Helsing and Arthur, their social media expert. Although I’m not a big fan of Dracula, I love this one. it’s so much fun.
paper girls – alex smith
Like I said, the best Kindle Unlimited books have way more series than Netflix. crime is a vital genre, so I had to choose a series to recommend. alex smith’s dci kitt series, the paper girls being the first, is a beautiful example.
dci kett, a detective based in london, moved to norwich with his children to start anew. kett is drawn into a twisted serial kidnapping case.
could have serious personal consequences. Smith is an accomplished writer whose novels fly by. Before you know it, you’ll have read the entire series.
shining – nick spalding
bricking it is a funny story by nick spalding. it’s a challenge to get the humor right, but spalding does a great job, especially if you like snappy dialogue.
bricking is the story of brothers dan and hayley, who inherit a dilapidated house left to them by their grandmother. it was a house no one knew she owned.
it’s falling apart, but dan and hayley plan to renovate it and then sell it. sounds simple. the house is unstable around the edges and the cow follows them everywhere.
The house will be featured on a TV renovation show and the host is determined to win Hayley over. it may not be as easy as you expect.
the vine witch – luanne g smith
